Love their food! Enjoyed their shrimp tacos and deep fried okra and my hubby enjoyed their catfish platter. Their food and service keep us coming back!

We arrived at 11:30 am on a Friday and we were seated right away. We waited approximately 15 minutes and the hostess came and took our drink order and stated that the waitress would be with us in a few minutes and that they only had one waitress working at the moment. Once we ordered (the jambalaya bowl and the fried chicken strips basket) the food was out to our table immediately. The chicken was inedible, it was tough and chewy. I sent the chicken basket back and asked for the charge to be taken off the ticket. The waitress did ask if I would like something else and I politely declined. The jambalaya bowl was underwhelming to say the least, but we did eat a few pieces of rice out of it. We left starving and had to go to another restaurant in the area. Very disappointing and would not recommend Southside Smokehouse and Grille to anyone!

Lunch today was in Landrum, SC a 45 minute drive from Easley to have lunch with some friends from church. We dined at Southside Smokehouse and Grille. It was a really nice day to drive out of the way, on the back roads that Siri loves to take you on, but that was ok I invited my sister to go with me. It wasn’t a hard place to find, and we arrived there at 10:50. It’s a nice size restaurant, that’s a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside. The inside in areas that aren’t near a window it’s too dark and the lighting is dim. For our drinks I got a Diet Coke and my sister ordered a lemonade. Now please keep in mind it was only 11:10, they had only been open 10 minutes, and they were already out of lemonade. For my meal I got a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and mayo and a side of southern potato salad. The serving was more than enough to eat. The grilled chicken was seasoned just right, tender and juicy, on a toasted brioche bun. The potato salad was red potato wedges with thinly sliced celery, dressed in a mustard/mayo mixture. Not what I would call “ southern potato salad, but it was ok. I really wanted to try the fried okra spears, I had heard about how delicious they were, but guess what??? They were out of those too!! It was then 11:50, come on now, It wasn’t that busy, so they just didn’t have any. All in all it was a nice lunch, friendly servers and a good time visiting with friends.

Almost all their food is made from scratch. Several signature recipes. The pulled pork nachos is amazing! Alligator bites are great. Best smoked pork and chicken in the state! Great service. Restrooms are clean. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend!!

We love this restaurant-especially since the owners daughter took over as chef. The food is so great. She really brings the flavor to everything. Best red beans and rice I have ever had.

This was first time eating here .we were celebrating my father’s 82 bday ..my mom had seen it on wspa highlighting locals and wanted to try salad that was on show .it came a rain storm while there and it was raining on table beside my father and hostess said yes it comes in very time it rains not sure why they can’t fix it ..I ordered Mexican corn on Cobb and waitress brought me corn on cobb without topping like on tv .I ask her about it and she said she didn’t know why it didn’t have toppings so she ordered me another one but I was already finished by time it came out ..also the grilled cabbage could have used a little more cooking..my sons have ate there and they liked the chicken and waffles with sweet potatoe fries..and oyster po-boy..

We were hanging out in the area and had a taste for a burger so decided to give this place a try. It was fine inside, nothing too exciting but we were greeted and seated quickly. They had a good variety on the menu. Our cocktails were really good and the burger was very good! If I lived closer I’d be back for sure. As we left, the parking lot was full. so, others have clearly found this place good as well! I think they could benefit from a nice outdoor dining area.

We brought a group of 25 in for lunch after the Spartan race without warning the restaurant. They found seating for all of us, served and fed us with smiles on their faces. They didn’t miss a beat getting all of our orders quickly and correctly and the food was great. My husband and I were especially grateful that it wasn’t too salty because that’s usually a complaint of ours at other restaurants. Thank you!!!

Awesome. Great atmosphere. Clean. Waitress friendly and attentive. Very different items than most BBQ places, which is pleasant. Original items, I can’t wait to try them all.
