This is a food truck, and it was bringing the hometown vibes, located under a tree, with a honey dripper lady on site and boiled peanut vendor. The only item I had was the half slab of ribs. On this day, it was dry and flavorless, not really a smoky flavor as you would expect ♀️

I had already eaten the one bone you see there, but, essentially what you see is considered half a slab and cost $16. Normally a half slab is 6-7 whole ribs, but apparently not here. Don’t get me wrong, the ribs and sauces are delicious, but the portion on the half slab and the rude older lady (always on her phone) at the window leave a lot to be desired. This was my go-to for buying full slabs, but after this day ordering half a slab while out and about, I don’t think I can support them anymore.

DO NOT, come to Jacksonville and pass up this absolutely amazing BBQ! One could easily dismiss this place for its not fancy at all. Folks sitting outside waiting for meals was a good sign. Worth the drive from anywhere in town. Worth the wait once there. I’m not a big fan of sides at bbq joints but I tried the potatoes salad and green beans. Potato salad just a tad sweet for my taste but very good. Green beans are green beans. They were out of chicken wings. A little disapointing , but all else made up for that. I tried the rib dog, the chicken, and the ribs! The rib dog a tender pork rib on a bun with sauce. WOW!

I really dont see all the hype. I was told about this placr so we decided to try it out. We had the ribs, which were tender but tasted like they were baked and nit smoked. Actually i didn’t see any smoke. The mac and cheese was horrible. We ended up throwing the food away. The best thing about the trip over there was we found the Pig Barbeque on Lem Turner. NOW that food was really good. Ribs, whole catfish , mac and cheese was all on point.

Excellent 5-Star BBQ! Rack of ribs were super meaty and whole chicken was the juiciest we’ve ever eaten. Tasty cole slaw & potato salad. The red velvet cake was good, but the strawberry cake was awesome. You could taste it was real butter in there. Our compliments to the chefs! Will be back soon for more!

You heard of side road food. Ok the Brisket is ok little thin in my opinion but was good. But the Ribs. Now we talking serious heavy smoke flavor. It is on point. Really highly recommend. The. Ale beans taste just like sweet potato casserole. Not joking. Unique n thick. Mix with their homemade Mac n cheese is ridiculous. To finish off. Their Arnold Palmer is the best. I’m giving 5 stars because the owner was really friendly and knew the food is good and even said you don’t like we refund. I said you came recommended. I don’t refund. I post on google. And here I am. It is worth the trip when in DUUUVAL.
