On 5/1/23 my wife ordered sweet and sour chicken and I ordered the general tso’s chicken. We both got fried rice with our meals. The sweet and sour chicken was just breaded chicken with a side of sauce and the tso’s chicken was just breaded chicken with sauce on them. Not one other ingredient in either meal or in the rice. As plain and bland as it gets.

Best small-town Chinese/Thai I’ve been to. I have yet to find another place as good as Chee Peng. I love their Vegetarian Fried Rice and Yellow Curry. The Crab Rangoon and Potstickers are super good too. It’s nice that you can choose the level of hotness you want as well depending on what you’re in the mood for. I have yet to find another place that has Sweet N Sour sauce as good as cheese peng’s. Hands down a must-try place to eat you won’t be disappointed!

We have loved everything we’ve tried so far from Chee Peng! Everything is made when you order (carryout only, as of this review) so the food doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting in oil, unlike some other places that serve this cuisine. Due to this, they also offer to custom-make dishes, if you have any food sensitivities or preferences. Egg drop soup is delicious, orange chicken has actual Orange slices in the sauce! You should try it for yourself and see!

It’s an icon of the local area, a family who has been part of the community for many years. Covid and a loss of the patriarch has definitely changed the restaurant, but the community has really seemed to step up to keep them afloat and continue to enjoy their food. The food is the usual small town Chinese/Thai. Expect something wholesome, comforting, and free of surprises.
