Nice little spot for breakfast/brunch. The price was good and neither of us left hungry. The biscuits and gravy were great, but I wished my hash browns had a bit more seasoning. Overall the food was good and I’d go back to try other items on their menu.

My friend and I were hunting for a breakfast place we hadn’t hit yet and found this place. It’s small, clean, staffed with friendly folks, and whoever is cooking did a bang up job. The food was incredible and had healthy portions. I asked for soft scrambled eggs and they did it. Most times I am not so lucky. My friend loved her skillet. The pancakes were thick and fluffy. All praise for this place, no cons. We are excited for a return visit and other future visits as we make our way through the menu.

Called and order for one person CRAZY EXPENSIVE NOW! $18 for French toast w/turkey bacon w/scrambled white eggs for one person. Look at these HIGH UPCHARGES!! Wow!! This place used to be affordable. Now it’s dishing out Southlake prices for mediocre food. I told my daughter we can’t afford this place anymore.

A real gem! A Mom and Pop feel in the middle of busy Texas! The service was quick and friendly, the food was delicious and the coffee was great! The syrup was warm! We came in not knowing what to expect and were surprised with the open seating and welcoming atmosphere. Sit where you would like and quickly take your drink order. Look at the back wall for weekly specials.

Think, first watch quality (great food)with local diner prices. Great brunch option. They have a vast list of specialty waffles that were delicious. The bacon was crispy and the eggs the correct temperature. They had short staff signs but honestly the service was great. In the restaurant the ambiance was a bit overwhelming with different signs hard to see what is what. They had good lighting and clean bathrooms.

Brookside Cafe. Awesome service, delicious food. If you’re old enough to remember the Andy Griffith show? This is the kind of place you’d expect Aunt Bea to cook at, and Andy and Barney to share a slice of pie and mug of coffee. Has a wholesome small town vibe.

I ordered the biscuits and gravy. I was a little surprised that the biscuits were toasted. No butter was offered, and it was dry, even with extra gravy. However, I was very happy that their cream gravy doesn’t include any type of pork.
