Bud’s is one of the best places in town! I was brought there by a local for lunch and it did not disappoint! The fish tacos and clam chowder bread bowl were fantastic. I followed it up with a coffee martini which was delicious. I highly recommend you go here. Our server Jarard, was kind, helpful, friendly, and attentive with a great sense of humor. Please check this location out if you are in the area! I would give Buds 6 stars if I could.

I had lunch here with a friend. I used to work in Stockton but had never heard of Bud’s so I was excited to try it out. I only eat seafood so this was the perfect place. I got a large shrimp and crab Louie salad and a half sandwich of the crab melt (you can get any sandwich as a half or whole FYI).

The food was below average. Not well seasoned basically stale flavor all around. The steak was tender so that’s a plus. The lychee Martini is fantastic. My husband ordered the shrimp and steak plate. The mash potatoes were delicious and garlicky. The shrimp were just in a small bowl filled with butter, no flavor and bland. The steak as I said was very tender. My Grandmother had the steak salad with a blue cheese dressing. She said the salad was great but a little soggy at the bottom, and no she didn’t use any dressing at all. Just fresh pepper provided by our wonderful waitress.

If the sides were hot when served. I’d be more inclined to give a better review. My husband loves there raw oysters and clams so we go allot. But my potatoes or rice and vegetables are barely warm. Usually cold. I’m tired of it and the breaded fish was horrible!
