We walked in and I whispered to my husband “the place is dirty.” It smelled like a weird plug in smell instead of awesome food. It should have been a great hint to leave but we didn’t. We ordered and went home. I never mentioned the above to my daughter who stayed in the vehicle so that she would eat. At home she said the food was not flavorful. My son said the rice had a cigarette taste to it. The noodles had a burnt taste to it. We have traveled fulltime for the past few years and this is the worst food we have tasted. The lady who took our order was great, welcoming. The crab ragoon is the only food that I highly recommend. Hope they clean up the place.

No disrespect to the kitchen staff whatsoever. You can tell from the moment you walk in that they are doing their best. The food is normally average and the wait is not normally ridiculous. Today however, is a different story. I called in to order my food and the kid who answered asked the same questions multiple times. He told me it would be a 20 minute wait. I came in after 20 mins and had to wait in line another 20. Once I got to the front, he picked up my order and asked the SAME questions!!! He had gotten it wrong but it didn’t matter bc no one started working on my food yet… I understand that they were super busy but at least let me know I will be waiting for AT LEAST an hour instead of telling me it’ll be 20 minutes. Super disappointed. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was bc of the 3 hard workers who were behind this incompetent cashier.

First time trying Lucky Star as I have family that lives in the area. Service is super quick and this place Is efficient on a Saturday evening. I think it is one of the busiest fast food Chinese places that I have been to. Prices are good as well. My wife ordered the Pad Thai and they do use Peanuts which is nice but the pad Thai was lackluster and not something we would get again. I ordered the beef with Chinese veggies and was happy with my order. The veggies had some corn and snow peas, but a heavy dosage of broccoli. The sauce was decent and wasn’t too salty or overrun with soy sauce. The sweet and sour was approved by my kids. It is a nice option for an area without another close Chinese place but I prefer my Columbus Fast Food Chinese places.

Quality Chinese that comes out very hot and tasting fresh! The dining area is actually quite nice for this style of Chinese restaurant, and the menu is pretty varied as well. I do wish more vegetarian options existed here, however. Overall, I would definitely recommend a visit especially since the staff are so nice to their customers.

Have always loved lucky star Hartville! So glad they are one of the few food businesses that have stuck around Hartville for years! If you like Chinese then you have to give them a try. I doubt you will be disappointed.

Great food. Fast service. Order once and Joey will remember you and your order. Even if it takes you a year before you return. Quite remarkable. The sesame chicken is excellent. I also like their won ton soup. It is made with a beef base instead of a chicken base. Different and quite good. If you are in the Hartsville area, give it a try.

I’ve been going to this location for yrs. The owner Joey and his crew can hook you up! Great food great portions for a great price. I’m glad this place is so close. If I need to scratch my itch for asian food I’m there. They are actually better than the other fast food asian places around. You gotta try it!!!
