Would give em zero if I could got yelled at for being in there parking lot to check straps on equipment (on a day they were closed) and got asked to leave bcuz we let our dog out to go potty without a leash. Quite frankly it’s sad considering there’s no where else to pull off for 30 miles either way

We eat here quit frequently! The food is great and the people are even better! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They close at 6pm so get there before they close. You can call ahead and place your order if you’d like to get it to go. Stop in to this diamond in the middle of nowhere.

It was such a special treat to stop here unexpectedly! When I was about 3-4 years old I lived just down the road from here. It was much smaller then but other than it being a little bigger it was exactly like I remember. Brought back so many memories. This place is definitely a landmark. I wish we would’ve had time to order from the restaurant. The food looked delicious and smelled so good! If I get a chance to go that way again I will be stopping there for sure!

Very friendly staff and locals to speak with. The food was great, and there are enough fries to feed you for several days.

The previous review should be ignored. It referred to a very old building and owner. The history of the building is interesting and one would then understand why it existed, but most people are not interested. The owner died about the time this review was written. The building was destroyed in a huge wildland range fire soon after that. The new owners built a nice new building. It is a combination cafe and convenience store. The food is good, but be patient. There are always hot dogs available for a quick grab. The food quality is good. The restrooms are clean. The staff us friendly. Closes early in the evening. Closed on Sundays. As mentioned, it is in the middle of nowhere as far as some would think, but for those of is who travel this road, it is a welcome stop for a snack and cold drink, and, when not in a hurry, a good lunch.

Middle of the country, nothing around but rolling hills. Beautiful place. Good food. Awsome place to grab a bite and relax. And you will not finish your fries. They are plentiful. Silver dollar burger was amazing. Very hospitable, and welcoming cook/server.

I am very pleased with this restaurant. It is in the middle of nowhere and you would think the food and service would be less than. I think the service is amazing and the gentleman that I dealt with was very accommodating and helpful. I watched him go out of his way to make everyone’s experience delightful. The food was very good and very delicious. It has a home cooked flavor to it. I myself look forward to returning and trying the next dish. They also have sdas beer and some snacks you can take on your journey.

I only give 5 stars because I was the little girl, who lived in the cottage behind the silver doller from when my grandpa (previous owner Richard Prigmore) bought the business in 92 shortly after I was born. I have so many fond memories of roaming out in the weeds, picking up pieces of petrified wood and other random things i could find. Surrounded by the environment and tons of animals i always felt at peace there. It was my home. Some people may even remember seeing a little girl riding her tricycle around the red booth area inside the establishment as well as around it.. that was me. My grandpa would always tell me ” when I die, all of this is going to you”. I would imagine myself being behind the grill as he was, cooking and serving back and forth. Everytime i make burgers i think of him. When he got into the car wreck that eventually took his life, nothing was the same. Some things are nostalgic and for some people keeping things the same is a MUST,which is why I’m so happy to see that the petrified wood entrance is still there (last time I checked). The whole place burned while that remained and I can’t help, but feel like it was ment to stay there… for me. I will always love this place and the memories it’s given me. However,I can’t bring myself to even go inside without crying. It’s too different for my heart to take. If anyone remembers anything positive about the place when Richard was running it (granted I know he was a very stubborn and at times a rude old man) I would be so happy to hear your stories. All of my childhood belongings burned in the fire that took the original cafe that spread to the mobile home where he lived (where my stuff was) and the white cottage where my mother and I lived.

Drove all the way from Tri-Cities. Lady said they close at 5:30. Came slightly after 5 and she said she shuts the grill off at 5 because “everyone knows that.” There was literally nothing inside of the place too. Why would you even stay open then? Done buying food from your trailer at Hanford too. I attempted to support local during the hard times and you were rude and unfriendly.
