They messed up my meal months ago, I asked them to please make it over, and now they burn my food on purpose 2x now… shame on you being a neighborhood restaurant, and I even went to Jr High and High School with the daughter Sara Florez and have been going here for years.. NEVER AGAIN. Entire meal 35.00.. they don’t need my money, but my review is priceless

I passed by this classic restaurant hundreds of times, and everytime I passed by, I always thought to myself to try it. I finally came here with my fiancé. Their food portions were huge. The mango shrimp ceviche was sweet and delicious, and my fajitas combo had tons of shrimp. I’m so glad I tried this place.

On our way back to LA from the Davis area, we were looking for a hearty and relaxing meal to sustain our 5 hour drive back home… we couldn’t wait to get out of the chaos that the downtown Davis area can be…not to mention the limited selection of overpriced and mediocre dining… we hit the road and immediately into the transition from the 58 to the 5 South, I began my search and found Florez Bar & Grill just a short distance from the fwy…located within a pretty safe residential area… it sits within a corner of an outdated strip mall next to an Asian supermarket. We were there in the early afternoon so I really can’t comment on how the area may feel at night but while we were there it always felt very safe. The restaurant has seating indoors and out. There is Bar seating but it is limited. I ordered veggie enchiladas and they were surprisingly wonderful. I also ordered a lime mojito. Often times, Mexican restaurants over salt their sauces and food…this place didn’t. The food was presented well, salt content was appropriate and the food was flavorful. Highly recommend:)

Definitely 5 stars, if you want to go eat delish Mexican fare and chill. Our server was on point with a great personality. Casual and relaxed atmosphere. Portions are huge, so plan on taking leftovers home. Strawberry Margherita was so good!

The food was fantastic restaurant is tucked in the corner. Maria gave absolutely spectacular service! The have a full bar and a old school feel. There is a reason it’s been around 40 years. Will be a regular haunt of mine when I visit my friend.

I’ve lived in the area for almost 15 years and sad to say that this was my first time at Florez Bar & Grill, but happy to say that it won’t be my last. Got right in for comfortable seating and quickly had a server and yummy chips and salsa. The server was very social and also very accommodating to the unusual liqueur request my guest had. This place is definitely worth checking out, either to hang out at the bar or have a nice lunch/dinner with the family or friends.
