Listen… Don’t walk RUN to Hemi’s!! I wanted good square pizza last night and didn’t want to drive into the city. I stubble upon this place and the photos looked too good to be true but the reviews were good I said let me try it out. Called to pick up and actual Chef Tony answered phone which again sold me on the phone experience I had he gave great directions and recommendations. I downloaded the app and it was seems less! Kudos to whomever built it. (I’m in UI and UX) Walked in and the aroma from the other cuisine they make (oh they don’t just make pizza! ) had me drooling! Atmosphere was nice. The staff was amazing everyone greeted me and made sure I was being helped. Offered me water while I waited. It was clean also. Pizza was ready at the time it said it would be in the app.

My husband and I order from Hemi Pizza regularly. It’s so good, it’s ruined other pizza places for us! Most recently we had them cater my son’s first birthday party. Tony was very flexible and patient as he worked out the menu with me, suggesting flavors and accepting last-minute changes. I will definitely use them for another event!

HEMI pizza is our go to when we have that pizza craving. The crust is buttery and that cheesy edge is so tasty. HEMI pizza uses a brick cheese and you can really taste the difference. The cheese is not a boring, flavorless mozzarella but a cheese that has tons of flavor. We always get extra sauce because it is so tasty and lastly … the topping options are just amazing. Good luck trying to choose. This pizza is an A+ in my books.

When Hemi makes pizza the right way, it’s great. Unfortunately it’s really inconsistent. Today both our Original and Cupper came without sauce on top. There was a small cup of sauce inside the box, but not enough to recreate the two “stripes” that are normally there. We’ve had other times where there was almost no cheese. Again, when they make it right, it is fantastic. They just need more consistency with the product.

We love HEMI pizza…the crust is buttery like a focaccia, with a thick layer of brick cheese and a perfectly garlicky sauce with bright tomato flavor. Bethesda needed a new pizza option, and this is different than your standard pizza. Definitely give it a try, it’s delicious!
