Famous Cafe Rio Fan Favorites
Sweet Pork Barbacoa
It’s quite possible our Sweet Pork Barbacoa could be outlawed for being too addictive. This delightful goodness is slow simmered for hours in our secret spices until ready to tempt your taste buds. You better get some while you still can!
Creamy Tomatillo Dressing
It’s been said that our dressings should be their own food group. Sure they’re great on our salads, but people love them on our tacos and quesadillas, with chips and even by the spoonful. Our Creamy Tomatillo is made from tomatillos, jalapenos, salsa fresca, cilantro and a blend of spices.
Queso
We know. Hot melted cheese is totally awesome. But our queso is made even more awesome by our mix of Mexican peppers and spices. Better get extra chips.

This was the second time I had disappointing service at this location. The first time I had an issue with the computer ordering system inside the store (it doesn’t have staff taking orders). We waited forever for our food, only to find out it never submitted on the kiosk. When we asked for help, no one was around, and no one offered.

Drive thru and convenient but every time i go here they only process one order at a time. So expect long waits. They won’t even take your order until the car in front of you gets their food, pays, and drives away.

We have always liked this café Rio location since they opened. The food is quality. The service is fast and polite. But, tonight‘s experience was way different. As you can see from my picture of the vegetarian salad, I ordered there were lots of black beans. There was very little rice and very little lettuce, probably only half of what is usually in my salad. My husband ordered extra cheese on his burrito, which he did not receive even though the receipt said that. I am hoping that this is a one off situation, and that our next visit will be better.

I ordered Nachos for pick up. I received nachos with only beans, meat, and queso. My wife’s tostada salad didn’t come with a tortilla. Haven’t been very happy with this location lately, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.

Worst meal I’ve ever had at a Cafe Rio. Both the beans and rice were undercooked (the rice was crunchy), the sauces tasted off, and the tortillas were stale. The quality control of CR is gettting non-existent with over-expansion. Should have taken my meal back. Miss the days of good Cafe Rio food.

Worst salad ever! This is not the first time. I won’t be paying for such low quality product there again. There was one chunk of sweet pork, but they made up for it with mounds of cilantro. Paid extra for a quarter container of sour cream. I don’t know how anybody could care less about what they put together. Maybe they’re saving the good stuff for themselves. What a huge disappointment.

It was fine, but I placed a small catering order early in the day but when I went to pick it up at the designated time later in the evening, they were confused and didn’t have it ready. They did find the order and hurried to put it together but they gave me the wrong type of beans and the lettuce was very watery.

Cafe Rio is typically one of our favorite places, but this location did not meet our typical expectations. Typically, the food tastes great and is served quickly. Not here. It seemed the whole staff was more interested in polishing and cleaning equipment than preparing our food. When we did get our food, the order was wrong and the taste was foul. What a disappointment. We will not be going back to this location. I think it might be that this one deviated from the tried and true Cafe Rio experience of having people prepare your food as you proceed through the line. Instead, customers must use a kiosk (which didn’t recognize our bonus points) and forced to wait until someone feels up to making their order. The original model is an unbeatable standard.

Worst Cafe Rio experience ever. I do NOT recommend this location! We could only order on a kiosk. They messed up every aspect of the order including items we specifically paid more for (extra meat). The manager was exceptionally rude and was clearly looking for a verbal alteration.

There’s a reason this location has such bad reviews compared to its neighboring locations. Have gone 3 different times since I have lived here hoping things change, but they don’t. You don’t see anyone make the food like you normally would, so either it comes out as the wrong order or just tastes terrible.
