I went into this place around 330pm on Monday 2/27/2023 and it smelt great place clean and I was hungry. Well food had great flavor but my bottom bun was super hard and food was like warm. I ordered a chop beef sandwich that comes with one side but does not come with drink. Pinto beans was awesome though. The cook fixed my sandwich with no gloves and they talked the whole time fixing my food

This is the first negative review I have ever left at a restaurant , I’m usually not the person to complain but the food here was BEYOND disappointing with No flavor and less than Luke warm. Came in on a Thursday around 11:45 place was packed with refinery workers which is probably what keeps the buisness up on float , that’s not the issue at all this establishment probably gets away with the food they serve because everyone who does eat here has to come in for a quick bite and leave back to work. I ordered a three meat plate with 2 sides . The brisket had NO FLAVOR what so ever so disappointing. The spicy sausage was a weird light Grey color and wasn’t even warm and didn’t really have a flavor. The chicken was also a disappointment out of all the sides they had about only half of their options available the potato salad had a strong mayo and mustard flavor they definitely Over did it and the beans and rice made me not want to eat any more of it after the first bite . The jalapeño cheese bread looked good only to the find out it was stale and hard nothing was good its ridiculous! Like c’mon! Just drive a little further for a better bbq place i live in pasadena yet travel all over Texas and when I do I always like to try new bbq places. Sad to say when it comes to BBQ my hometown of Pasadena Texas doesn’t have many worthy options.

I’ve been here ~10x in the last few months. I’ve ordered fried pork belly with pinto beans and slaw or salad topped work bbq. The pork belly is excellent! It’s a party in my mouth! I usually order it with spicy sauce. It comes with house made bread, which is tasty.

This food is amazing. I don’t know where to begin. So I ordered a four meat platter to compare their brisket to the brisket house in Pasadena and this place has the brisket best hands down. It’s juicy and moist but extremely flavorful. The ribs and sausage are cooked just right but the turkey, my girlfriend hates turkey and she wished she got that instead of double ham on her potato. Their bbq sauce is not too watery but not too spicy, it’s just right. And there jalapeño toast….me or my girlfriend are NOT jalapeño eaters but the toast OMG is amazing. It’s got the flavor but not the hit and is to die for. Plus the decor is so Texan, if your from out of town or visiting and want authentic Texas food and feel then this is the place. All and all being a big foodie I love this place.

Stopped in around 11 for lunch and there was a minimum line. The queue was setup cafeteria style and moved quickly. Chopped beef sandwich was pretty good. Great portions. The sauce was different, kind of chunky like it has chopped up meat in it, just a hint of spicyness. The Mac and Cheese is probably the best I’ve had in 10 years. Will return next time I’m in the area.

I tried the brisket, it has no smoke flavor at all, it seems like if it been cooked on an oven. No real texan flavor.

Had the chopped beef baked potato and it was really good. The potato was massive and I couldn’t finish it all. I called it in and picked it up in 10 minutes. No wait at all!
