We recently visited The Little Grill in Harrisonburg, VA for a humble breakfast of eggs and home fries. The home fries, although appearing to be deep-fried, could’ve done with a touch more golden. The eggs, meanwhile, were cooked satisfactorily. My partner had the same with an addition of thick cut bacon which was indeed a tantalizing treat. Her drip coffee, unfortunately, was somewhat lacking in strength. Conversely, my espresso, subtly diluted with water, was the epitome of perfection.

An adorable little diner. Basic breakfast menu with some interesting sides. Gluten free options (buckwheat pancakes!!!) and good coffee from broad porch.

I checked out the Little Grill while I was in Harrisonburg recently. I’m glad I found it, and I look forward to going back. The staff and owner are all friendly, the food is great, and it seems like a unique spot that nice locals hang out at. I was there on a Thursday morning, and it was busy! I tried as much of their food as I could, and it was all delicious. My coffee cup never got empty. I don’t want anything else from a breakfast spot.

Best breakfast in Harrisonburg. Love this little breakfast joint. The inside is small and the parking is limited (mostly street), but that is a part of the charm. The service is extremely fast, it is kid friendly with kid friendly options, the inside decor and atmosphere is so fun. The food is absolutely incredible – the potato boat is my favorite and my husbands is the breakfast burrito. Our kids loved the experience also. Don’t miss out the amazing coffee and lattes with incredible baristas.

Miss the rolled up potato things. The focaccia sandwich was great. Very child friendly staff. Probably still the best breakfast in town. 4.8 / 5

Really eclectic and cute little diner with some very delicious vegetarian and gluten free options. I tried the potato pesto dish and my spouse tried the huevos rancheros. They were both exceptionally delicious and filling.

So glad they’re open again! Does not disappoint! Loads of the old favorites on the menu plus some new super yummy specials. It’s clearly had a bit of a face-lift but without losing any of the old charm. Always be one of my favorites
