We decided to stop here since it was close to where we were servicing our car and we love Salvadorian food. Tried their pupusas and ceviche. Yummy! Will definitely go back to try more on their menu. We ordered to go at their counter. The lady taking our order was nice. The restaurant was quite large with lots of seating.

Bad customer service, price online does not match price in person and pupusas are burnt on one side and not fully cooked on the edges and They are super hard, honestly I do not recommend this place, it is the worst.

So first off the atmosphere when you walk in is decent but the you talk to the lady at the counter ….and she’s not very friendly (you never know who’s gonna walk in through your doors at a restaurant, so maybe be nice?). She immediately gives attitude and i have no idea why maybe because she only wants Spanish speaking customers? Maybe she’s having a bad day? Whatever it was off putting i almost just walked out without ordering. However i also wanted to give the food a try and so me and my little sister ordered their bean and cheese pupusas and some drinks. We sat down and waited and the restaurant itself is nice and plain with photos on the walls. The menu was extensive and looked pretty good. The wait time for the food was decent and the food itself was actually really good. I don’t know if their menu prices have changed from what’s online but they seem to have gone up from the actual menu. So overall good food but again i have to give this place a less than stellar two stars just because of service…..and i wouldn’t want anyone to walk in to this place and have a bad experience. Maybe order ahead to go so you don’t have to deal with the front counter person for too long.

Got the Great Big ‘Wet’ style Carne Asada Burrito. Food was very good, free refills on soda Pupusas are excellent. Just wish my Burrito had more meat inside and less ‘fillers’ (rice, etc.)

I’ve been here twice now because lately I’ve had an insatiable hankering for pupusas. The pupusas here are phenomenal. The curtido is very good too. And the sauce, I’m not sure the name, but the sauce that’s always served with pupusas, it’s exceptional here. The service is friendly the waitstaff tolerates my sub-par Spanish very respectfully (i.e. they don’t laugh at me, at least not in my face. I’m learning!) I feel like I’m in El Salvador when I’m sitting in this restaurant. Very authentic. Hopefully my review doesn’t lead to it’s gentrification. I recommend. And on Friday pupusas are only $1.99!

The daily specials are AWESOME! The selection is great. They messed up a TO GO order the 1st time I tried them but I went back when the same staff was there again to be compensated the missing item. I will try and go back again and again to sample most of the menu here!

Found this Salvadoran restaurant just walking down the street in El Monte while waiting for my car to be tinted. And what a pleasant surprise! The food was phenomenal! So delicious , authentic, good portions and affordable prices. The service was amazing as well! I will drive one hour from LA just to enjoy their food and service! I highly recommend this place!

This place is usually my spot for Popusas for many years, even before they expanded and remodeled their restaurant. They have very good dishes overall. On my last visit I ordered green chilaquiles & steak which was excellent. What I appreciated the most was the OM eggs, they were perfect. My husband enjoyed their tender steak a whole lot.
