Ok, found this place for their afternoon happy hour of DISCOUNTED tacos. I tried SIX different tacos (each a different meat) for like $16. Agua Frescas also discounted, got chips/salsas for free. My wife tried a burrito.

Won a awards at many California state fairs and once voted best taqueria by San Francisco magazine. We got our tacos to-go as it was very busy inside. The employees were a little gruff but the service was relatively quick. I got a tofu taco and vegetables taco with black beans. The taco is really two tacos because they used double corn tortillas to wrap the massive heap of tofu, beans, and vegetables. The bang-for-buck is high here. Taste-wise it was pretty good: the flavors are what you expect from an authentic casual Mexican eatery. I wouldn’t call it the best taqueria in SF but it’s up there.

Ate here a few weeks ago, and went in during their happy hour. Their agua frescas are super awesome! And I had one of their burritos. I tried ordering the spicy version of the beans, but I was warned three times that they were spicy. I detected little to no spiciness in the burrito, so I don’t know that they actually gave me the spicy version. Regardless, their spicier salsas made up for it and gave a nice tasteful burn. I might go back if I’m ever in the area again.

I ordered from here through postmates . It was under my wife’s name Chelsea. I ordered a meat burrito combo . She wanted a nachos combo. No guacamole. I got my burrito with the coke . She did not get her nachos or soda . She got a burrito with guacamole which was put in the note not to add because of a food allergy . I was standing there for 5 minutes and the staff just went about their business. Other customers showed up and they started taking orders. I guess one customer is not worth their time. The food was just basic. Don’t waste your time.
