I ate here for the first time. My husband loved the tacos. I had the oxtails and pasta. The oxtails were very tender and well seasoned. I could have taken a little more heat. My only complaint is that they had a lot of fat. Corn was excellent, and the pasta could use a little more sauce. The tacos seemed a bit pricey for two of a small size. Overall, the oxtail plate was good and plentiful.

Fantastic food and great atmosphere inside the restaurant. The decor makes you feel like you’re in a Dallas restaurant, not in little old Alexandria. Had oxtails with Rasta pasta, it was phenomenal.

Service was very friendly and helpful. Food was DELICIOUS! Most flavorful meal I have had in a long time. Spice and seasoning was perfect without overpowering the natural flavor of the food. Definitely recommend and will be back.

Oxtail, Jerk Chicken & Shrimp and the pasta are amazing! Really glad CENLA got a proper taste from the Caribbean! Now, the oxtail plate maybe a bit too much for one person on one sitting, but that’s the kind of complain they should be proud of.

I had the oxtails and my wife had the jerk chicken fries. Phenomenal!!! The food is plentiful and delicious. I ate half the plate for lunch and saved the other half for dinner. If you like real cooked, Caribbean inspired food. You have got to check out the Royal Onion. Also, the owners and staff are super friendly.
