This is your typical hole in the wall bar/restaurant.The service was not great and the food was average. Not a great experience but there were limited choices and I figured what the heck. It was not horrible but it really was not anything worthy of a second visit.

Recently moved to Cross Plains. Bartender was very friendly and made great drinks. Sorry we didn’t get her name. Ordered a pizza and fried pickles to go and it was awesome. Cooked very well just how we like it. Generous amount of cheese and sausage. We will definitely be back! Thank you

Nice small town bar with good food. Everything is priced well. They had a couple of local Esser’s beers on tap and the typical bottles of Coors/Busch/Bud you would expect. Our waitress was very attentive and gave us a heads up that she had just put in a bunch of food tickets so it would probably be a 20 minute wait, which was understandable. Overall good experience! They had Karaoke and a DJ there on the Saturday night and I’m sure it would have been a riot but we left right when it started.

Go here BUT NOT on Game day. Love this place but after coming here on multiple game days, I will be going somewhere else next time I want to watch the game. Service and kitchen is slow like someone called in but it happens every time. Come here on a regular night and you’ll love it!

I live across the street, and it is 1 AM. The loud music from Hooty’s keeps waking me up. I tried to call to ask them to turn it down but no voicemail and no answer. 1 AM is way too loud to wake someone up from across the street. Be a good neighbor and turn the music down.
