Charlies was awesome start to finish! They had our table for 8 ready with 20 Minutes notice, our food was delicious, our waitress was amazing, kept our coffee and beverages full, checked on us frequently. If you are looking for a delicious place away from the bustle of downtown galena, this is it!

An off the beaten path place to eat. I really liked the food and simple dining experience. Breakfast served all day. The food portion is big. The price reflects it but you come away with extras or completely stuffed. They have options in their fries of which some include a crispier flavor and the other being home made. This beef roll was enormously delicious and the price for two was just over 20 dollars. Not bad for the amount you get. The service was friendly and typical for a local sit down place. Lots of customers came in during the lunch hour. A variety of people and workers stopping in for a bite. As far as a great meal in Hanover this is the place to go. Really enjoyed the meal and worth going back. Charlie’s place is a great place to stop for quick bites.

We eat there quite often but usually get it to go. Absolutely love all their food and the friendly staff. Our favourite is their pizzas and wraps. But their isn’t a bad thing on their menu. Breakfast is awesome as well

Great gem in this small town with many options (Better breakfast options than in Galena). Phenomenal service by wonderful staff. Originally walked in through the door with the big Pepsi sign on top of it (brick side of building). If you are coming for breakfast, this side (is the wrong side) appears dark and bar-like. The breakfast side is next door, frame building side. It is bright there and lovely. (With music playing that I would describe as soft jazz take on modern pop songs).

Did not warn us that they were cash only so needed to use the ATM. Charged us more for a meal because we didn’t want the toast (therefore charged as ala carte). Charged gratuity for more than 5 people, however 2 people only joined us to chat and didn’t get meals. Undercooked eggs. Lipstick on the coffee mugs. And charged $5 for fruit in place of toast. I was told “we can’t please everyone”
