The excellent food and the hospitality at this Cafe is truly unique. We ordered the Aqua Pasa, Chicken Pesto Sandwich and the Lilikoi-Glazed Ham Sandwich. We also tried the freshly baked macademia nut pie with ice cream, the pie was very delicious and moist. So glad we decided to stop by this family run Cafe. Highly recommend this Cafe.

This was such a delightful dining experience. The food was heavenly. I got the spiced pork special, my husband got the beef stew. Neither of us could finish because the portions were so plentiful. Archie was so proud of his wife and the history of the restaurant. Everything was spotless and we felt very welcome and well taken care of. Marlene is an amazing chef! Her grandmother’s pork recipe was phenomenal. Highly recommend. If you are looking for a family restaurant with good value, amazing food, quality ingredients, this is it!

We had an amazing lunch! The chicken pesto and the pork sliders were great and huge portions! Then came the Macnut pie! So yummy. And the owners are the best. Almost 100 years in family!

Outstanding local food. Small restaurant with 7 tables serving Portuguese stew, meat, and sandwiches. I now understand where Kings Hawaiian bread got their recipe–it’s Portuguese sweet bread. Friendly, laid back service with lots of aloha. Don’t come here if you want a quick fast food bite.

What a great stop! The owners took time to not only serve some of the tastiest food but the history of the town and the owner’s family history. This place is worth the stop. The food was so good I forgot to take photos before we devoured it.

Mr and Mrs Andrade have been married for over 50 or 60 years.and were nice enough to cook and serve our food personally. They told us about the history of the town, the restaurant, and had visited my town as well. The food was incredible and the conversation was like family. Make sure they are open because they only work select times. It is well worth planning your trip around.

The most wonderful hidden gem in Honokaa! Come by here if you’re in the area, you won’t regret it. Everything on the menu is delightful, you can’t go wrong. The walnut pie is phenomenal, don’t leave without it!

Sweet little cafe in the Historic Town of Honokaa. The proprietors greeted me almost as soon as I sat down. Archie brought me water, told me his name and thanked me kindly for coming. His wife, took my order and promptly got to making it with the freshest of ingredients, she carved the ham for my sandwich, it wasn’t just sitting in a bin. Same with the bread. It was a Very Good sandwich. I will definitely visit again when I’m in town.

Cute cafe run by sweet old couple. The ham sandwich was AMAZING. Super thick, sweet bread – had to smash it to fit into my mouth. Chicken and rice soup was fantastic too. Great root beer float.
