Visited this location only because I was stopping through on a scheduled visit to Latech. The food was just ok the service was not good and it was only three sets of people inside eating. I really felt like our server took food from another customers plate when they left without eating because they were unhappy with their food, so they asked for the bill and left, I then saw the server quickly take the plates away then I plates came and the plates were piping hot but the meat was over cooked and looked old. For the record the other customers ordered similar of what we ordered. We didn’t touch none of the food only asked for a to go plate and we feed the trash a meal. The server was curious but I think if we were a different shade we would have gotten better service because other shades that were eating refills kept coming and never had to flag him down. I see why it doesn’t have a stand alone building because they would last long because you have to learn how to deal with all customers and the food has to be to notch in order to keep people coming. The salsa was pretty decent though and the Dr. Pepper was cold.

During my road trip to Texas, I made a stop at this place to charge my car, and it turned out to be a decent experience. As a solo traveler, I sat at the bar and tried their spicy margarita, which the bartender kindly made for me despite it not being on the menu. However, the flavor was slightly different from the traditional version as they didn’t use jalapeno.

We are visiting Ruston and went to eat at Avocados. The service is so welcoming and the food is excellent!!! I don’t know how this restaurant doesn’t have 5 stars all around. We will definitely be back! I didn’t get a picture of my enchiladas, but they were absolutely wonderful.

I’d give more stars if it would let me! The service was amazing! Our waiter was so nice and constantly checking on us to make sure everything was alright. The carnitas were probably the best thing I’ve ever eaten, it was spicy and tender! Then we asked about dessert… he said, “let me surprise you, trust me.” He then brought out the best dessert I’ve ever had!!! I forgot to take a picture of when we first got it cause we were impatient because it looked so good!!! Cinnamon and honey and chocolate syrup and ice cream and much more!!! We went at about 6:45 on a Friday night and it was the best experience my boyfriend and I have ever had!!!

The service we received during the lunch hour was wonderful. Our waitress smiled, was helpful during ordering, and nice during our time spent.

With more Mexican restaurants than you can shake a stick at in town, it’s hard to say if one is consistently better than the others. For our visit, the excellent service provided by Pepe was surely outstanding. He was very cordial and made us feel like he enjoyed serving us. The food was good and served hot, but not particularly noteworthy. But Pepe turned a ho-hum lunch into an enjoyable outing.

Tables aren’t being wiped down between customers. Walked out without eating anything. Silliest part is they were dead-slow. Why sit people at dirty tables in a wide open restaurant?

Oh man, this place is amazing! I’m just passing through Louisiana for one night and I’m so glad I got my takeout here. I haven’t had such a satisfying Mexican meal like that in a really long time…I wish there were more locations! Not sure how ground beef, lettuce, cheese, and avocado can be so amazing together but just a simple taco salad blew me away. And the chorizo queso?? No words. I bet they know how to really make a margarita too…wish I’d have thought of that earlier. If I come back to LA at any point I’m going straight to Avocado’s!

I tried one of their shrimp quesadillas and oh man it was so good! I’m not sure what they put into it, but it was so good! Not to mention the people are also nice and their service is good too.
