A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

1st time making a pit stop in this area. I checked the reviews for D’s & gave it a go. The drive-thru wait was about 20 mins. There were at least 5 cars in front of me, 5 cars behind me, and seemingly quite a few guests inside. My food was hot & fresh. The guy at the window was polite and made sure everything was right with my order despite being very busy. I had a good experience!!

Food was fresh, ladies were friendly southern women, must have came after a rush floor needed sweeping and 40% of the tables werr dirty. The lady was in the lobby cleaning as we ate so I didn’t fault them too much I would recommend.

Been living in Cottageville for two years in May. This was my first experience at Captain D’s in Walterboro. I actually haven’t been to a captain D’s in a very long time it’s been years. They did not disappoint at all. I had to wait a few minutes but it was well worth it. All my food was hot, presentation was good, tasted great and service came with a smile, kindness, and respect. I am overall very pleased with my experience today and I will be back.

Me and my wife ordered two Seafood Platters and a side of breaded okra to go. We arrived at this Captain D’s 20 minutes before closing. The food was delicious and the service was excellent !!!! The fish was crispy and hot, fries were hot and the Cole slaw is amazing. Most importantly the tea was sweet lol. The drive thru cashier Tessa was real nice and polite with quick service. On the way thru and decided to give it a try and so glad I did. Thanks for a wonderful lunch.

The food today is absolutely horrible. Everything was cold. French fries hard and cold. Coleslaw hot and didn’t taste right. No seasoning what so ever. Fish hard and cold. I spent 17.00 for nothing. Hushpuppies awful and no seasoning. I wish I could get my money back for this horrible food.
