It’s my fault. I told friends I never had a bad meal here. Tonight I did. Prices have increased a lot, plus soup or salad is now extra. OK, understood. Both hubby and I ordered twin lobster tales at $51 each. Picture below is exactly how it came out of the shell – in tiny pieces. We called over the waitress for an explanation, and she went to ask the chef. He told her “maybe his knife slipped and cut too deep taking it out of the shell”. Not unless it slipped twenty times. She offered to make a new one, but that always takes long and my husband would be sitting there waiting for me. So I put a piece in my mouth, and it was that mushy meat that I immediately spat out. We weren’t offered a price break on the meal. Any chef worth his salt should have known something was wrong with that tail. Happy Anniversary….

No issues getting a reservation on a Sunday evening. Everything we ordered -appetizers, entrees, wine – was delicious. Our server was fantastic. Ample parking. Looking forward to returning when the new deck is complete!

Attended for a smaller wedding. Service and food were amazing. The staff all seemed super supportive and helpful. Outdoor wedding backed up to open land with a bison and lots of deer. Barn and its decorations were amazing to support cocktail hour downstairs and dinner upstairs.

Crab cakes included a wasabi/horseradish drizzle, which was not noted on the menu, and was objectionable. Did not ask for them to be remade as they were busy with a big catering event in the barn so food took too long to arrive for that. Fries were way too salty, other food was OK, dining room was way too cold. Cocktails and service were very good. Prices were too high for the experience. We’ll likely return for cocktails on the pub side, but not dining room again.

I covered the photography service at Rising Sun Inn in October. It was a beautiful setting for getting ready, first look, ceremony and reception. The staff were extremely helpful, and so friendly. They put a chaise out for us, I loved the decor in the barn which just transformed the place. Highly recommend, and I hope to return for more wedding photography. The photos you see were taken by me and a second photographer hired that day for the wedding. (Photography by Angel C. At Tylerstar Productions.)

We had not eaten here in a very long time but we’re glad we went back. Very good bison dishes. The crab that came with the bison tenderloin was outstanding. If I can get that alone I might do that next time. Mash potatoes were delicious. The best French onion soup. The asparagus could have used the woody ends cut off more. They were very tough.

This is a beautiful Inn in Telford. It is kept in pristine condition but the best part is the food. It is excellent. I’ve never had a bad meal there. Their dining room is beautiful and they have a casual bar also where they also serve from the menu or a bar menu. In summer their outside patio is a delight

This was my first time dining at the Rising Sun. Everybody in my party enjoyed their food. The pork schnitzel was fantastic . We had cheesecake for dessert and it was one of the best I’ve ever had . Highly recommend this restaurant!

We used to love it there. Now it is way overpriced, the rolls were stale, the salad that you now have to pay extra for was wilted and our dinners were tasteless!! Service was so so. Our bill was just short of $100 excluding alcholic beverages and dessert. We definitely will NOT be going back!!

The dining room had good ambience of a country inn. Service was prompt and attentive. Ordered the pork schnitzel with spaetzle. Pork was tender and juicy, decent portion. The lemon caper sauce was a somewhat overwhelming, if I ordered again would ask for it on the side. The seafood Wellington was nothing special. The were two shrimp, a scallop, and some crab inside. Was not worth the price given the portion size. We had the red sangria with dinner which was very good and a Wednesday special.
