My husband was making orange chicken and we needed a side of fried rice. Our local go-to was closed so I placed a to-go for an order of shrimp fried rice with the closest restaurant. My first impression was wow I wished I would have stopped in to order because I would have just walked back out. This restaurant is old and filthy. From the tables to the floors and all the service stations. While waiting I felt triggered to pull up the restaurant report. Instant regret. The service was friendly and I did feel welcomed so I did tip on my almost $14 single order of rice. The rice had freezer burnt peas and carrots and we found some shrimp shells as well that made for a good crunch. If cleanliness and good food is a must put this on your places not to visit.

Food was delicious! The appetizers, regular sushi rolls and specialty rolls were so good. An absolutely awesome hole in the wall. It’s a small space so it can get packed but the food is totally worth it! Definitely coming here again. My friend and I shared the specialty plate that came with 5 rolls, miso soup and house salad.

The restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere with friendly people to add to the experience. The food is amazing! We purchased a tasty appetizer as well as various sushi rolls including a chefs special roll that was out of this world. Check out Tougen for some of the best sushi in Toledo!

What a delight! Sous chef sent over a complimentary appetizer while we were still deciding on our order. All our sushi was delicious! The seaweed salad, house salad and miso soup was great. I only remembered to take one photo! It was as good as the presentation! Chef also brought out a dish (first customers to try it.) He made mushrooms with barbeque sauce. It was also delicious! Will definitely be back. Everyone was very friendly and the food was very high quality. We had tamago and my daughter commented that it was very authentic. (She lived in Japan for awhile, so she would know!) Highly recommend this place! (Owner is waiting on liquor license, if that matters to you.)

Definitely a relaxing place and staff is very friendly. Their food is delicious! We ordered two sushi rolls and steak hibachi. Good portion sizes and not overly priced like other Japanese restaurants. We will be coming back!

This a Very good hole in the wall place! It has good prices and friendly staff the waitress kendra was very attentive, also owner came out and asked how everything was tasting epic in my book! We had both ramen bowls the shoyu (soy based broth) and tonkotsu (pork bone based). we also had the aloha roll witch was good it had lobster in it witch I love. Over all really good place I recommend it. I have been back many times. I really love this place. I’ve never had a bad dish here.

WOW saw a review that said best sushi they had ever had, and it was no lie!! Best such is I’ve had since San Francisco. Just randomly in Ohio what??? Phenomenal, fantastic, superb, delicious! Sushi lovers don’t miss this place!
