This was a tough one for me because I read all the reviews, I had high hopes & really wanted it to be good. Went there for lunch & it wasn’t that busy. About 4 or 5 tables with customers & some to go orders. 1 waitress & 1 person behind the counter. Waitress got drinks right away but took about 15/20 for her to return. Although I think it’s because people have a lot of questions because it’s new. Had to grab a full ketchup bottle from another table & grabbed one of the baskets with straws & napkins in it. Waitress didn’t t provide them. Ordered Chicken dark meat, fried okra, collard greens & Mac & cheese. Chicken was good, hot & Krispy but didn’t love it. Greens were too spicy for me. Mac was dry & very peppery. Mom got coleslaw & fries with gravy that were really tasty. Okra appetizer was okay, not very tasty. Might be better with a different sauce. Too me, for what we got, it was a bit pricey just for lunch. But you do get a decent amount of food that could be 2 meals because we did have to bring some home. I probably won’t return. Mom said she would, but just for the Chicken. Staff were very personable & took time to talk to customers. Atmosphere is nice with good level of music playing. Clean and comfortable. I really wanted to like it more!

The closest thing to home cooking you could get outside your own kitchen. The oxtail is so amazing. My son had the rib sandwich. Stile a bite . Their sauce on the ribs was delicious.

I wish there was an option to give 6 stars, this place is incredible in every aspect! From the friendly customer service, the comforting ambience, to amazing food! This place is a MUST TRY for anyone that enjoys classic southern soul food cuisine! I have had plenty of my fair shares or fried chicken but this was Best Fried Chicken I’ve ever had hands down! Loved it so much that I’ve been back with friends and family, everyone always leaves satisfied, full, & happy, as any customer should. Hope to see big things for this place soon & I highly recommend giving this place a go!

Been looking forward to trying kinfolks out. I must say we were not disappointed the staff was a little slow but not bad. The food came out in timely manner very hot and fresh. The fried chicken was amazing. Best tenders around. Mac and cheese was really good for a restaurant collards were delicious also. Wish I had room for dessert. There is always next time. Can’t wait to visit again.

That was hands down the best fried chicken in the state of Florida. My husband had the pulled pork and it was also excellent. Of note were also the collards and the deviled eggs. The lima beans and Mac and cheese were also very good. And who can pass up such a beautiful dessert case? Our waitress was so great, too. I am fat and happy and can’t wait to go back!

The second time there and looking forward to more. This time I had the pankcske with chicken. The pancake was simply delicious it had pecans and whipped cream and powered sugar in and on it. The chicken was great and we tried the deviled eggs which was scrumptious.

Went in on a Sunday around 1:15p, ordered 4 different meals and none were anything impressive. The fried chicken was seasoned well but tough! Shrimp and fish was fried in some yellow batter stuff but soft! It appeared to be only a half filet of fish. The sides were all bad. Potato salad smelled as if it was going bad and tasted sour as well. Collard greens, just NO. Mac & Cheese, missing cheese and no flavor. Green beans from the can with a bit of seasoning and some type of meat(maybe a piece of Smoked Turkey Wing), Baked beans ok but definitely reminded us of doctored up baked beans from a can. Black eyed peas, NO. Gravy and not so fresh rice, just bad ! Lastly the yams, I’ve had better! ! Spent around $80 and glad to support a black owned business but will never patronage again.

Been really excited to come try this place as I’m pregnant and ALWAYS craving good fried chicken and it did not disappoint! Can happily say I found my new favorite spot. Wonderful southern cooking and excellent service! I can’t wait to go back!
