I hate leaven these kinds of reviews, but here we go. We took our nephews here for food. The service was great and friendly but the food is lacking. I ordered a side salad with my meal. It was 5.99 and the only thing on the plate was lettuce and French dressing. Brought out maybe 3 loafs of bread it seemed. And later on in the evening my wife didn’t feel well. Sadly all the leftovers we took were just tossed out. The icecream though is amazing. I just can’t let go of the 6 dollar salad of only lettuce..that’s like stealing from customers. Also the beer I ordered was 3.50 and we were charged 4.00. Sorry, but we won’t be coming back for the food.

Food was great! I really recommend the Italian sausage sandwich. However, we, ordered family feast and a few other sandwiches for carryout this weekend and placed the order 1.5 hours in advance. Upon arriving the food was not ready for another 20 minutes. No plates, napkins, silverware, or condiments were provided with the which was a bit disappointing for over $100 worth of food. Just FYI to those that none of the above is available.

Did some carry out. Not the very best for vegetarians (worse for vegans), but the grilled cheese was pretty good and, let me tell you, the people LOVED the meats. LOVED the meats. And these flesh-eaters are locals and regulars and the taste of these meats has not worn off at all over the years. Talked to the owner of the house of one of the eaters and he said they’d been there 25 years and frequent Micheal’s. They trust the people there. That’s what’s important. That’s why Micheal’s gets five of my stars.

THE BREAD DESERVES 11 STARS! and a permanent place in the heavens. It will most certainly be in mine. I have had it shipped to me in Iraq during OIF & I never leave to come back home to FL without a box full. The Michael’s Sub (although some of us locals have grown up calling it by another name) is the perfect sandwich in my opinion. That bread just brings the most simple ingredients together into something… I honestly can’t describe. It has been my absolute favorite food since Benson & Different Strokes and will be my last meal (one way or another ).

My grandkids LOVE their bread and Italian food. My grandson said I was the best grandma in the world for bringing them the spaghetti Family Feast for lunch, and my granddaughter gave me a hug when I arrived! It fed me and 7 kids ages 3 to 14, with 1/3 of the sub sandwich left over. I got the fresh bread instead of the liter of soda that comes with it.

This establishment has always had delicious food. It’s one thing to be a good server & it’s another thing to be a person of compassion. You can be one without the other but this evening I encountered both in the same person at the Germantown location. I wanted this establishment & the world to know that small acts of kindness really do go a long way & is rarely seen today. This establishment is blessed & highly favored because one of their servers carries both of these traits & I am truly grateful to have been blessed with her service.
