We went to the Brainerd Rd location. Made it there about 15 minutes before they closed. The food was delicious, and freshly cooked. We ordered the catfish sandwich, a talipia plate, turnip greens and a pork chop plate. The staff was very friendly and patient. I highly recommend eating here.

Every time, absolutely awesome! I have joyously dined on Uncle Larry’s fabulous catfish since Larry Torrence opened his first restaurant on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in 2013, just two blocks from work. The Brainerd location where I live is terrific! Larry’s brother, Kevin, runs that one, and it’s equally awesome and really convenient as a drive-thru (that I just went through!). Always get the Smack’em Sauce, and they usually give you a pack each of mustard and hot sauce to put a Nashville-style spin on your dipping options. The tomatoes and cucumber salad is a secret treat, and the fried okra is second to none.
