Fantastic Mexican tacos. We moved to VA from San Diego and we miss the incredible Mexican food we had in California… until we found this place. This is IT!! Authentic amazing fresh flavors. The salsa bar is wonderful. The chips were hot and fresh. Loved the chorizo and carne asada tacos. I highly recommend eating here.

The nicest receptionist I have ever met. He greeted me like an old friend. My wife and I were taken aback by how clean the restaurant was. Then the food was so good and the toppings were free. We are going back every time we’re in the area. I can’t say enough good things about Big Chile. This place made our day.

This is my new favorite taco spot in Short Pump. The food has so much flavor, simple and delicious. The place is clean and the service was wonderful. I ordered Marinated Pork Taco, Carnitas Taco and Beef Brisket Taco. All three meats were tender and tasty, there were no fat pieces. They have a sauce and condiment station. If you love spicy food, make sure you try the red sauce. It has a hint of roasted peppers and it has plenty of heat. My son loved their Birria Tacos with the dipping sauce. Definitely will come back.

This review is based on a previous visit to the restaurant, but food delivery. The restaurant looked like a nice place to eat, but kind of bright inside. The food is very delicious. They will now be my go to for burritos. The marinated pork is delectable. I was not a fan of the taco with sour cream, lettuce, and tomato. It hides the good flavors of their meat. Their tacos come with a hearty portion of meat. My wife is a street corn connoisseur. A cornoisseur? She was not a fan of this particular street corn. Keep it simple with them. Flavorful meats and good sauces. Eat here. It’s good.

My sister and I got takeout from here the other day! The fish tacos were some of the freshest we’ve ever had. They were lighter in flavor- perfect avocado! The vegetarian torta was pretty good and hefty but a bit too one note in flavor. It needed more beans because those were the best topping!

We were so impressed with this place! From the minute we walked in, the owner, Christian, had a big smile on his face and welcomed us. He explained the whole menu to us because we told him we had not tried it before. The dining room was extremely clean and the food was fresh and wonderfully flavored. We ordered shrimp fajitas, and the taco trio. We had such a great experience and the price was right. We will definitely be back the next time we go to the Richmond area.

I had fried fish tacos and rice and beans. The fish tacos are great overall. I just wish the avocado was sliced smaller. It’s a hefty wedge of avocado so it just falls out of the taco if you don’t cut or smash it up yourself. I was surprised that the rice was white rice. It had good flavor but just wasn’t what I was expecting. Refried beans were pretty good.
