Don’t let our name fool you, as we try not to take ourselves too seriously! After all, we consider Swanky’s to be the type of restaurant our favorite comedic personas Boudreaux and Thibodeaux would frequent for their fine dining.

Wife and I each got hamburgers. She added bacon and cheese and I requested only onions, cheese and mustard. Got our order and bacon and mustard were missing. After several attempts to get the waitress’s attention I finally went to the bar counter and told the woman behind the bar that my wife didn’t get bacon on her hamburger and I needed some mustard. She gave me a few packets of mustard and said that she’d get the bacon right out to our table. After returning to the table, the waitress came by and told my wife that it would be a .99 cent upcharge to add bacon. My wife asked her if she included bacon when she ordered the hamburger, and the waitress said no, she did not add it to the order. My wife said if it wasn’t added, then never mind. After finishing the meal, I paid the tab and left the restaurant. After getting in the vehicle, I noticed that the bacon was actually added to the bill, so I went back inside and apprised them of the issue. Even though we were refunded our $1.05 it still was a disappointing experience.

Bread not cooked or toasted. Salad mix was added instead of lettuce which contained carrots and purple cabbage. Only 4 onion rings were put in the box and there was less than a handful of fries in the other box. They said 25 minutes. I was there early and it was cold. Not cooking the bread made it tastes stale. For $23.00 I expected a lot more. Not sure I will attempt another try. Swanky’s….make me change my mind? I know your stuff is better than this, but somebody in the back let you down Big Time!

Great fast casual food in a cozy atmosphere. The stuffed shrimp, roast beef poboy and both the seafood and chicken and sausage gumbos were standouts. I was surprised that everything was served on/in disposable plates, cups and bowls, with disposable silverware; I’m not a fan of creating that much waste.

Was really excited to try this place out and was sadly disappointed. The atmosphere was good, service was ok. The food had the potential to be good, but was a complete miss.. The portion size of the meals were generous and pleasant to the eyes. The hamburger steak I ordered had a good flavor, but was tough, overcooked, and served barely warm. My mashed potatoes, gravy, and mac n” cheese were cold. All lacked flavor. I really disliked the food being served in disposable plastic for dine in. My friend ordered a cup of gumbo, that was mediocre at best. It had one tiny chunk of chicken and one sliver of sausage. Not worth $7, very disappointing. His burger was way overcooked and his fries were a soggy mess. He is a big eater and left half the food in the basket. Frustrating to pay $42 for a meal that was not good.
