I read the reviews and people with kids said they wouldn’t go there thinking it was not kid friendly. Well I tried it out. I brought along my two kids ages 3 years and 9 months. Let me tell you the staff there had my kids laughing the whole time. We had so much fun. They treated us like family. The breakfast was awesome also. I felt at home. Thank you. We will see you this Sunday also.

Please don’t believe the poor reviews! Everytime I come here for breakfast, they serve great food and service is within 20 mins. Their regular pancakes are huge, and their mancakes are over-the-chart HUGE! People usually get one regular pancake and share between two. Their French toast are perfect in taste and presentation. The restaurant staff are pretty nice. I love the numerous sarcastic and vintage signs hung around the restaurant. Good prices too. I totally recommend this restaurant for breakfast!

Never made it inside. My family and I wanted to try something new and we’ve passed this diner a few times. So thought we’d give it a try. Pulled up to park and looked at the front door and read “No Whining” which I thought was kind of funny. But also said “Not the most kid friendly” so that turned us off to the place. As we had our 3yo and 1yo with us. So I guess if you don’t really like customers with kids there, then we won’t be eating there.

Yeah, I’m totally in love with this diner. I don’t give a crap what anyone else says about it. The food is awesome and the waitstaff is even better. If you don’t like the service, go someplace else…someplace where the waitress will make googly eyes with you then spit in your food and expect a big tip. As for me, I’ll keep going to The Hot Metal Diner, where the waitresses keep it real.

Do not waste your money. If i could give it zero stars, i would. Horrible service. We stopped in after church for a bite to eat. we were seated rather quickly, received water, coffee and ordered within 5 minutes: two ham and cheese omlets. shouldn’t be too tough, right? wrong! started out good. but then it went downhill. no coffee refills. no one even checked on us. and then after 45 minutes, the big surley grey haired waitress dropped our food off, literally. she just dropped it on the table, walked away and i had to ask for coffee. never offered a “i’m sorry for the delay because… ” nothing. the staff doesn’t care. stay away. go to McDonalds instead. better service. better food.

The food was pretty good. It didn’t quite fill me up. The atmosphere is set in what felt like 70’s. They cannot split checks up though. I was not happy about that when me and three friends went and there was only one large bill to be paid!
