This place is extremely small and very dim. My first opinion was they look like they are just starting out. The waitress greeted us and told us to pick a seat. We sat got menus and looked through our options. Their food options were ones you would see at any Mexican restaurant. The starting chips with salsa also came with refried beans which was very different. There was a few mix up with drinks. One smelt of cleaner and one was the wrong flavor. Nothing that couldn’t be fixed. We ordered food and was shocked at the sizes especially of the carne asada burrito. Everything came out relatively fast. The food was nothing short of expectations, but very typical of any mexican Cuisine. I do reccomend this place if your looking for something close if your staying at wyndham.

Ordered arroz con pollo and this is what I got. Not even sure what the sauce was. Didn’t taste good and left still hungry. Server was not very pleasant. Would stir clear of this place if I were you.

The food is pretty good but service could be better in my opinion. Meals come with one complimentary order of chips per table, which is something I’ve only experienced at fast food Mexican restaurants. We were not told that they were out of guacamole until after our meals came out without it. Had we known they were out, we would’ve ordered different meals. Also, we were never offered drink refills even though the place was not busy. If you’re staying at the nearby resort and want Mexican food without driving into town, this place should do. Just keep your expectations realistic.

Food was flavorful. We could tell the food was prepared by those who enjoy cooking and take pride in their craft/culture. Service was quick starting at the door; from being seated to being served hot food, satisfying our appetite, within reasonable price.

We appreciate the time everyone has taken to review their experience here with us at La Costa. We have read each review carefully and taken both positive and negative feedback into consideration as we move forward.

Waitress spilled our salsa in her hand, and then licked her hand in front of us. If you’re hoping for a margarita, you won’t find one here-they only serve beer. Waitress was too busy making out with someone to refill drinks. Food was good, menu was extensive-lots to choose from. Reasonably priced.

We ate here twice, first for $1 Taco Tuesday and grabbed takeout today (only desert). The tacos were good and filling (I had 3 tacos). The sopallidalas were good, but for takeout I recommend asking for the whipped cream to be placed on the side since it makes them soggy.

Convenient. Food is typical Mexican food in quality and taste. Taco Tuesday ($1 each) is a great deal and draws lots of diners. Service is hit or miss. Sometimes great service, sometimes not so much.
