When we make our way out to the Block each year, we always find ourselves coming to the Oar. They have a great atmosphere, view, menu, staff, etc. you name it, it’s pretty awesome here. The staff are always friendly, and despite the tourism season, you get seated pretty quickly. But they do offer copious amounts of seating both inside and out. The food is always fantastic, especially if your a seafood person. The mahi mahi , lobster roll , and sushi is amongst my faves. There are a lot of great places to visit here on the island, but the park is our favorite. Look forward to eating here in the seasons to come.

We ordered two rolls, the islander roll and the rainbow roll. The raw fish was delicious. The service was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the views. The OAR is one of those institutions worth visiting when you’re on block Island.

Everything you’ve ever heard about The Oar having the best mudslides is absolutely true. We came here for the mudslides and ordered some mozzarella sticks too. Enjoyed our drinks with the beautiful view.
