Caveman roll. Hot river are my favs. Sometimes they dont get enough flavor on some. They sometimes make good martinis but not all. There Saki was not good and sweet. They never have Sriracha for dipping. Egg drop very good

Food was fantastic! Large portions, reasonable prices and good customer service. I will definitely eat here again but most likely to go. Only negative would be that the music playing loudly the entire time was basically a Christian sermon. To each their own but I don’t believe that’s how to attract the general public.

We stopped for lunch after shopping. We used to come here a lot pre-pandemic. We were disappointed that you have to place your order when you walk in, pay, and then seat yourself. I understand that it is hard to get workers nowadays, but it was a very different dining experience than before. The Bento Box combination used to come in a Bento Box, but now it is just on a plate. The food was okay—but presentation and atmosphere is lacking compared to the way the restaurant was before.

The sushi is so good! Great atmosphere and staff. They make my food right everytime and I customize my sushi some due to allergies. I don’t understand the negative reviews. I am really REALLY picky when it comes to food in general but especially sushi and this family owned restaurant is amazing and yes, they are Christian and there’s nothing wrong with that!! It makes me feel more welcome and at home. Go and give them a try. Great food. Great prices and amazing people ♡

Asian Cafe has been a favorite of ours for years. But, it seems something has happened that has affected the menu, food quality and service. In the past, lunch included tea and a choice of a soup or salad as a side. And, the wait staff was always very friendly. Now, tea is not included. And, the only side choices are egg roll, spring roll or crab rangoon – all fried items. We usually get the sushi lunch special and the stir fry bar and split it all up between us. Now, instead of ordering at your table, you order and pay at the counter before you sit down. All our waiter had to do was bring our food and drinks which he seemed to dislike doing. We had to call him over to get tea refills because he never checked back with us. He just had a bad attitude all around. The sushi had very little flavor as did the stir fry dish. As other reviewers state, the interior has become run down. I also noticed they do not have the lunch crowd that they used to have. Even though we live nearby and Asian Cafe is convenient, we will probably be searching for another asian restaurant that serves better quality food for the price and has a more friendly staff.

It was our first visit.Afton Ridge is a premier location so our hopes were high. We did not like the ordering set up as you must pay before you dine and tip before even being served. There appears to be a reason why. After placing our order and specifically asking about and ordering summer rolls which are not fried, we were brought fried spring rolls, then were argued with about this. Then when corrected, were brought an additional summer roll which we touched both dishes at the same time by mistake they tried to give to the customer behind us after being touched. She refused. .Then 5 minutes later the fried rolls were brought back to our table and the touched food was brought away and we suppose was given to the customer behind us. After all of this we werent brought our drinks until asked for. No Siracha, which we know is in short supply and high demand but our normal sushi place in Concord is able to get a hold of alternatives. When our sushi arrived it was not as described and was missing cucumber and scallion. Plus sushi rice was hot. All of this is a food safety no no and reason for my review. I rarely say anything bad about anyone and know the universe doesnt revolve around me, but since 3 different staff members willingly took our hard earned $80 for 2 dinners and all dropped the ball instead of taking care of us instead of blaming their mistakes and miscommunication on us, we are just warning other diners about food safety and that there are far better alternatives in the area.

Im assuming they just went with what the current situation is allowing them and I’m assuming they are doing the best they can with the employees shortage going on but ordering there is absolutely anxiety inducing! And I usually don’t suffer from anxiety! The food was okay—but presentation and atmosphere is lacking and with that the prices are too high. Probably best for call in!
