First, they should change the recipe of Yukgaejang. The smell is strange. I saw the same opinion in the comment section below. However, spicy pork is very delicious, and it’s very authentic Korean style jeyukbokkeum [stir-fried spicy pork]. Overall I like this place!!

The food is really good, but the man in charge is incredibly petty. He is extremelyyyy petty and rude. I’m not sure if it’s because i’m black or what but he’s extremely rude to me every time i go in there. I once ordered food to go and sat down to eat with my friends instead because I knew it was a lot of food so i got it to go anyways and he yelled at me. I went back yet again because the food was good and I was in between classes and so I got it to go and he put it on a plate when I asked for it to go. I then had to wait for a few minutes to get it to go and he smirked at me…..sir i just wanna eat…..

The food was okay. The ramen was underwhelming and the kimbap tasted dry. The price was fair for the amount of food, and it’s a good place to hangout with a small group. However, there are other comparable places that I think are just overall higher quality.

To be short, this place slipped our expectations. Shared the #40 (I believe) with a friend, we were both quite hungry and paid ~$15 for one order of the sweet crispy chicken (looked good). It came with a side of rice and spicy mayo over veggies, which we had no complaints over. To the main dish, it lacked flavor and was fried far too much, leaving it dry and sort of bland. Some pieces tasted flavorful though so it was a dice roll with each bite. Left 3 stars as the food was quick and environment was okay. I’d recommend yogi a couple doors down, although it may just be this dish that went poorly for me.

The food is okay. Although I can find a better tasting korean food/shop elsewhere. The service tho is a roller coaster. Some days their service is , the other days its awful. Like they wouldn’t even want to give out takeout boxes or extra cup of sauce. Glad they made an option to order with a kiosk.

By far the best Korean food in Champaign, Ari-Rang is gone RIP , and Jib Bap is so mid compared to spoon house. For the same $12.95 you can get an overflowing platter of Bibimbab at spoon house that’s far superior and larger than anything on campus, just look at this beast

Ordered Yukgaejang. Looked good but tasted awful. It was smelly (smelled like the meat went bad). I asked the manager if they could substitute with different meal but he refused to do anything for me. He even tasted from my food and handed it back to me expecting me to eat the meal. Really disappointed with the food quality and the management.
