Sadly, this vegan spot is disappointing. My husband and I ordered the pastrami and the buffalo tofu sandwich. We couldn’t even finish them they were so off putting. The buffalo sauce was not reminiscent of buffalo sauce at all, it was just a dark red spicy sauce with an odd smell. There was a white sauce on the sandwich that had no flavor and it looked haphazardly assembled. The pastrami was very strange..weird choice of toppings and odd flavor.

I was in town for an event, and being that this restaurant indicated 4.8 stars on google, I thought it would be a good vegan meal. Instead, when my family and i arrived, we were welcomed by a strong odor. After inquiring, I found out that they were cooking amino acids. (Sidebar suggestion: possibly cook after hours to be considerate of customers. ) The smell along didn’t deter us mainly because of the high reviews e wanted to try it. As vegans, you know a good vegan restaurant is hard to find. We ordered the Philly cheese steak, pastrami sandwich, French onion burger and the cheeseburger. After eating half the Philly sandwich, my son immediately became sick. He immediately got up and went to their bathroom (sidebar- it was pretty bad, floor was wet and needs cleaning). My sister ordered the Philly without onions and wasn’t pleased. I had the pastrami sandwich, and the only good thing I can say is that the bread was really good. Overall, I personally would not recommend this restaurant.

I’m not a vegan but happened into The Vegan Nest Cafe with a friend ; I was pleasantly surprised ! Place is quaint, clean and staff are very nice ! I had a pineapple lemonade which was very fresh and zesty and a “Caprese” sandwich that obviously did not have mozzarella; it was replaced by cashew cheese , very good with the pesto dressing ! Overall , a nice place to eat in Clinton and local area folks wanting vegan food !

Call before going! Absolutely loved the food when I tried it last but this last Tuesday I drove very far to meet a friend and at 4PM the door was locked and no note on the door. The hours on the website say until 6PM for Winter Hours. I checked Instagram and Facebook to see if there was a note about closing early and couldn’t find anything. Hoping to just bring awareness to others and to the owners to definitely post about any hour changes!

The spinach artichoke panini was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. The cheesecake was delicious. I never would have known it was vegan. This is a wonderful place. The owner seemed Like a very kind man. We will be back for sure.

Best place to get vegan food and chill anywhere around! The restaurant and decor are so quaint and perfectly located on Main St. Clinton. Great place to get delicious animal-friendly (and taste bud friendly) food, and they even have great books all around to read while you wait! My wife and I love this staple of the community.
