We saw buffalo wings on the street sign and decided to stop by for a quick bite. Once inside, we took a look at the menu and ordered fish instead. My wife had blackened catfish on a bed of rice and ordered some gumbo. The catfish was seasoned nicely and was very delicious. We had expected the $6 gumbo to come in a small bowl, nope. The chicken & sausage gumbo came out on a large plate and was more food than the blackened catfish plate with rice, it was good also. I had the fried catfish & shrimp with rice & gravy. The fish wasn’t over seasoned but could’ve used a pinch more but was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, nicely done. The fried shrimp was small for my liking but it had a buttermilk like batter around it, this was good. The gravy on the rice did taste like store bought McCormick packaged gravy, but that was just our opinion. Everything was still very good . Only bad part was the brown gravy on rice and the size of the shrimp, otherwise I still recommend it and we will be back again.

Unprofessional. I was attempting to order lunch for 11 people including myself. 10 of which are corporate employees (who live in Florida and will be in town for the next 8 days) for a large warehouse in the area. Seeing an opportunity to showcase the local talent and not just another generic name brand restaurant, I gathered the staff in the lunch room to began placing orders, when I called (via speakerphone) the level of unprofessionalism was 2nd only to her attitude. I was embarrassed for both of us (her for bricking a shot) and myself for choosing such a place. Im sure the food is good, but this her attitude and lack of professionalism MAY barricade her from greater success. 2 stars because 1 would be a bit unfair, but they need to do better.

This place is amazing……..staff is well groomed great customer service and facility well kept. Food is great I love the Sweet Mama sauce on the Wings. I would eat here everyday if I could. Very convenient location on South Lakeshore Drive. I would usually have to drive 20 minutes into town for a restaurant. I will be back!!!!!!!!!

The two stars are solely because the food is decent. There are two rude, incompetent children running the place. If you are not watching they’ll charge you for anything they want. The cooks are extremely slow and don’t seem to care about getting orders out. Perhaps they are partying with the blaring music you’re met with when walking through the doors. I saw this business lose 6 customers due to their lack of professionalism. I will never go back to this place nor do I recommend anyone to try it. It’s not food that we can’t get elsewhere. Black owned businesses need to do better if they want the support of their community.
