Yes – just like other reviewers say – it IS the best pizza in Jax. Top ingredients, cooked well, with unique pairings. You really can’t go wrong with any of their pies. The dough and sauce are well seasoned with NO added sugar (at least that we could taste). They let the tomato in the tomato sauce be the star! Thank you! The pizzeria itself is bright and clean with plenty of staff working hard to crank out fresh pizza pies. We enjoyed the meatball + ricotta pizza. The crust had a great undercarriage. It was not goopy or soggy. Good amount of cheese and toppings. Absolutely worth going out of the way for this pizza. The only sad part of our visit? They were all out of garlic knots… they are just that popular! So order early and often!

You know when you get a good pie and it’s the sauce that sets it apart. That’s what’s going on here. The sauce and pepperoni are so good here. But I also love the mamas pizza. It’s a real NYC pie. They also have a deep dish Gramma. Everyone is friendly there. It comes out fresh and hot. Highly recommend.

Have been wanting to try Bala’s for awhile and finally got there today. Ordered online and it was ready right when they said it would be. They looked super busy but service was still fast. The Italian sub and pizza were awesome.

From all of the photos and reviews I was hoping for a better product.. I don’t live close by so I drove to the restaurant placed my order and took it home, sidenote, I do have a insulated pizza delivery bag and used it. When I got home and called everyone in to eat, we all tried to get a slice of pizza and it literally fell apart. It may have been better if we ate it at the restaurant but it definitely wasn’t worth the $54 for two pizzas to bring home.

Hard working staff, professional, and friendly. We got the Margarita pizza and added pepperoni. The pizza was cooked perfect, but maybe not the best choice if you’re looking for something that hits the spot. A little dry and tasteless for my liking. Only 3 or 4 tables and a little compact for dining in. I would probably give this place one more opportunity, but most likely for pick-up only

Been hearing a lot of great things about this place so finally had a chance to check it out while nearby since their next to Bartram off race track. Wanted to test two slices as I’m always on a quest to find best New York style in Jax. I think they’re one of the best if not the best at this moment. The crust was superb. Had a grandma slice and a traditional slice and the ingredients and taste of everything was delicious and on point. If it was that good by the slice I can only imagine a fresh pie is even better. People that live near this pizza joint are definitely lucky. Hope if they ever did another they put it at the north beaches

Really could not wait to get in and try this tasty pizza parlor. So many praises and most of it exceeded expectations! Marinara sauce, Florentine slice and meatball parm slice was absolute favorites! Oh and that cheesecake! Got a gourmet calzone stuffed with quality ingredients and very tasty sausage! Good Fellas did not disappoint! Also ordered an anti pasta salad. Meats are not only quality but you received quantity! Really the only complaint was our calzone was definitely over cooked. I would have given the experience a 4.5 if I could but decided it was worthy of a 5 more than a 4. I think if you try it you will agree! Happy tummy ⭐️

Giving the benefit of the doubt on this review. It would be such a shame to have your score drop due to lack of customer service, and not the flavor a d quality of your food. We called in our order, first time customers. We were told it would be ready in 30 min. We waited over 20 min after we arrived, and instead of being honest and saying they forgot to put in our order, they acted like it would just be a couple more minutes. Please take my advice- honesty will always get you further in this business. A simple apology goes a long way. Don’t try and cover up and lie, it always makes it worse. People make mistakes. We are all human. I personally would have offered the garlic knots on the house. That all being said, it was amazing pizza. Everything was cooked wonderfully. The sauce tasted fresh and made from scratch. Extremely happy with the food. I hope this becomes our new local pizza “go to”. Trusting the next time we order will be smoother.
