I normally like it here, the food is good, the beer is good. Today must have been a bad day. I ordered the liver, it was bone dry and obviously overcooked. The side salad had no dressing. If thus was my first time here it would have been a 2 star but I will give them the benefit of a doubt. They have another location on fairview that I like more.

My mom really likes this place, so she wanted to eat here for her birthday. She ordered the chicken enchiladas, my wife chose the shrimp cocktail, my boys got the quesadilla with fries, and I got the molcajete Costa Azul. I swapped out the carne asada for more chicken. My molcajete was delicious, and everyone else enjoyed their food. The service was great.

We ate here after a long day of moving. We begged to get in because everything around was closing .. including here! They finally relented and the food was great. My niece asked for red chicken enchiladas, but got green. Not willing to waster any food, she ate them. My shrimp ceviche was to die for! So freakin yum! We’ve eaten there once more since then and they still gave my niece green chicken enchiladas instead of the red she’d ordered. I get it. Chicken goes with Verde. But red is her preference and it should be honored. I’m not crazy about their red sauce. I think it needs a little more chili powder, garlic powder and salt. Having said all that, The food is good, though. Now the atmosphere is a different story. Our first night there was karaoke night. Whatever, people like to be entertained. But the volume! Sheesh, would it be okay to turn it down a bit? Still, we were so hungry and tired, I’d have eaten with a singer belting it out in my face! Good stuff.

We shared a molcajete along with some guacamole, salsa and chips. We also ordered micheladas. The food was okay a little bland, micheladas were good and the service was great.

Food is ok, not bad. Too expensive for the quality. The best value there if you are into seafood it’s the 7 mares, a seafood stew, very tasty. Their molcajete for the price could be better. It is at best an average restaurant in a very crowded category in the area. Not bad, but there are plenty of better alternatives for the price point.

Waitress rude! We asked if camarones ala diabla were too hot or could it b tolerable? She replied rolling her eyes ofcourse they’re hot! My friend ordered a la diabla and fell sick later that day. The beans tasted burned and rice old on my friends plate., my plate was tostada d camaron cooked in lemon juice, good fresh but later at night I fell sick and threw up the food I ate there. Eat at your own risk!!

First time here, and I have lived here for over thirty years. My experience was very good, the food was good, and the margaritas were delicious . Our server was also very good and helped us decide what to get.

Enjoyable pleasant lunch. Lunch specials include beverage and all less than $10. Fresh chips and green and red salsa flowed freely. Meals came hot and enjoyed by all. Good experience for lunch in Santa Ana.
