Although I was first a bit skeptical, as often Italian places will serve plain marinara pasta as their vegan option, the vegan red sauce pasta was here surprisingly flavorful and delicious. If you go here, I definitely recommend it. The other members of my party enjoyed their food as well

We absolutely loved this restaurant! We lived in Italy for the last three years and it was wonderful to experience some authentic dishes! The service was superb, and the ambiance fabulous! I absolutely loved the Sicilian wine available — and the ingredients fresh and portions plentiful! Buonissimo! Special note about the home made tiramisu— don’t tell my Nona in Naples – but it tasted just like hers from home! Soooooooooo good!!!!! We will be back and pleasantly surprised that we can rotate this Italian eatery in with our other favorite Mama Louisa’s— we hear they’re friends and that makes us feel even better about discovering, and loving this hidden gem!

Very nice Italian restaurant with a dim and quiet atmosphere upstairs (we ate late – about 9:30 pm). Staff was very courteous and professional and never made us feel rushed. Very relaxing. And the food was to die for. I had the Farfalle Venezia. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was so amazing, it left me wanting more.

Had dinner here on our last night in Newport. Server Kyle was very sweet and the food was very good. Nice quaint decor. My husband like his dish, but being a big guy was hoping for a little more. He had the mushroom raviolis and I had the bow tie pasta with shrimp and scallops. I was hoping for sea scallops not bay, but very delicious. Dessert was also very good. Tiramisu and chocolate mouse cake. We would definitely go back.

We had a delicious dinner, and the service was excellent! We started out with a charred broccoli salad (large enough for 2), followed by pasta with scallops and shrimp (I had gluten free pasta and it was great, and my husband had their homemade pasta which was wonderful). For dessert, we shared a tiramisu. From soup to nuts, this gourmet Italian restaurant is worth a visit!

We got a few different things. Most were ok. The pizza was absolutely disgusting. I don’t get it. It literally looked like the got the frozen crust from Costco. Put some cheese on it and charged $18. I wanted to like this place with the cute story of being from Italy, but come on! You can do better.

So I’m vegan and not only was this place great about it, IT WAS AMAZING! I told our server that I was vegan and he literally walked me through the menu. He actually ASKED if there were dietary restrictions at the table without me having to say anything. Plus the food was so amazing. I live an hour and a half from here, but I’ll drive back just to eat again. I got gnocchi, and their mushroom bruschetta. My partner is vegetarian and he was offered cheese to add immediately. I wish I remembered my server’s name because he really outdid himself. I might even call- I’m not normally a reviewer, but I just had to in this situation. Vegan Italian food that’s amazing? Yes, please.

Had a wonderful dinner here, and was amazed at how reasonable the prices were relative to the excellent food and service. Especially appreciate that they offered an extensive gluten free menu, with GF pasta that was indistinguishable from wheat pasts. Recommend making a reservation.

First time at Lucia’s and everything was excellent. Even the table bread was way above average. My wife had the Manicotti alla Pomodoro while I had the Vitello Piccante Alla Mozzarella. Both were fantastic and our server Hassan was professional and personable. The prices, I initially felt, were a little excessive, as the entrees didn’t come with pasta and to add a side of pasta was an additional $9. The veal was also a modest portion. I opted for no pasta as my dish would have been over $40. The quality of the food though was hard to beat.
