This was my first visit to Sugarbeets after a friend recommended their pho as the only source in Rome. I have to say, this place checks nearly all of the boxes for me personally in atmosphere, service, and food.

Very confused. I looked at the menu online and thought, “it’s a little pricey, but the dishes sound inventive”. It was pricey alright, but the meal was completely average. My $17 chicken sandwich might have come from a place that charged half as much. I probably would have rated it higher if the price hadn’t left such a strong impression.

Our first time here and it was the BEST! We were only in Rome for 2 nights and had to go back to Sugarbeets again the 2nd night. And, it was every bit as good again. Wonderfully, friendly service, a great menu and outstanding cuisine. The steak tips and salmon piccata were both outstanding; cheese curds too!! Creative and wonderful from start to finish. Thank you!! We’ll be back!!!

I attended the Rome Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event. This was my first visit to Sugarbeets. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. The food was delicious. The staff was attentive and accommodating to the large group of attendees. It was a perfect night to utilize the spacious outside deck. I will definitely visit again.

A lovely place to dine with fabulous food, especially the lobster bisque topped with a crab cake. The cocktails were well balanced and dangerously enjoyable. The owners and staff are all welcoming and friendly. During the morning hours, their sister, Cream and Sugarbeets serves a great cup of coffee and a fantastic peanut butter stuffed chocolate cookie.

We arrived at around 5pm on a Saturday, but they were not too busy. Ordered the Chicken Picatta and Chicken Marsala, and a cocktail. Everything was great. I got the chicken picatta and it was amazing. The flavor was so strong and vibrant. It was very rich and had lots of capers. Never eaten so many capers before, and I looove capers. The rest of the food was very good and the cocktail was great. Next time I’m in Rome I am definitely going to stop in and order the rhode island calamari and maybe the smash burger.
