Outstanding service, friendly staff and very fresh tasting street tacos. The proximity to our Airbnb is what drew us in and I’m happy it did. Great prices and the tacos were so good and freshly made. We were in and out with food and full and satisfied so quickly. Definitely recommend if you’re near University City.

Visiting in Philly & El Taco is a must! Close to our hotel, excellent. Blacked shrimp tacos (e were filling!), fresh guac & chips were super, and the service was spot on. 5-star!

Banging tacos. Owner was very nice and accommodating. Mentioned that I had a little daughter and she just wanted some shells. She even threw in a taco. Carne asada tacos was like making love to an old Mexican girlfriend of yours. The blacked shrimp were also fire. The el macho sauce, it’s hot without killing you. I didn’t sweat but I was close to it. So you know it was just the right amount of hot. White folks beware though unless you’re a chili head. Not a race thing , this is just facts! Food so good I couldn’t take a picture before finishing it.

The cost of the food did not match its quality. I bought a burrito bowl and a churro, but found them average. Despite adding the medium spice salsa, it lacked any heat, so I asked for a little more. So I went up asking if I could get a tiny bit of extra salsa and the lady at the register had an attitude and said I have to purchase that separately for $0.81 which I did get because the food was bland; but it was literally the smallest container of salsa. Not worth it. Churro was alright but once again not good enough for it to be $3. I dined in, atmosphere was nice but I went for the food and service which was poor. At the end, I didn’t even finish my bowl I just ended up eating the tortilla shell. Will not be going here again.

Great Mexican place with authentic food. First time here & Service was great. Didn’t have to wait long for my take-out. When I got home i was blown away by the Carnitas!! Wish I got more lol. The nachos and salsas are good too. It’s small inside the have tables and counter/bar tops. Can’t wait go back. Parking is a hiy or miss though

I ordered the sweet potato tacos, and, against my better judgement, I kept the shredded cheese and pico de gallo on it. Crema and queso de mesa would have gone better on it, it but it is an upcharge. All tacos come with lettuce, pico de gallo, and shredded cheese by default.
