Pizza the Bay may not be for everyone but if you like the thin crust style, with toasted crust edges style with top notch ingredients you will really, really like these pies! The Calzone is amazing as well… Had a really excellent Caesar salad too… Also of interest to some, they have really tasty cocktails available from the bar next door. I really have mixed emotions about posting this review because once people start to discover this little gem, it is going to be a very long wait to get in…

Pros: their bbq pizza was light and fresh. You don’t expect to hear “light” when talking about pizza.. especially bbq chicken pizza but this delivered that. The crust was on the thin side which I liked, perfectly cooked, light sauce and they use chicken thigh meat which added flavor. I love the atmosphere of the market place as a whole and this restaurant is a great addition! I gave 4 stars for the food because I love ranch with pizza but their ranch is a bit too herby for me and too much lemon flavor.

This was my first experience with this pizzeria. I order a new concept called The Mariachi and it was BOMB, as you can see in the pick was very tasty and fresh. Honestly I really enjoyed the sourdough crust. I’m ready to explore more that menu.

Best Pizza in the Bay. It’s a New Haven/New York style pie, thin crust, robust sauce, thin but quality toppings, cooked to a char (not burnt) but with a Bay Area twist – they substitute traditional pizza dough for Sourdough. Could this be the beginning of the “Bay Area Style of Pizza”? Who can say… Highly recommend!

Very good pizza and top quality ingredients just a bit overpriced IMO. Unfortunately they probably have a ton of overhead due to the managment of the building so it’s not their fault. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I look forward to trying their wings.

We got the Washington square pizza. It was very strangely cut into squares and the egg was over hard. Eating at the bar outside the restaurant was nice. We’d go back to try another pizza, but probably not the Washington Square.

Stopped by for lunch earlier today and was impressed with the service considering they’ve only been a week or two. For two people we had the Mt. Diablo Pizza and the BBQ wings. The sourdough crust was nice, thin and crispy. The pizza toppings all seemed fresh and tasty. Wings where fried really well and not greasy at all, lightly sauced and the ranch for dipping was wonderfully bright and tasted fresh. Was the perfect amount of food for two that where decently hungry. Great cocktails selection for a pizza place.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. The Brussels sprouts appetizer is amazing. My wife had the First Love pizza and I had the Tamalpais. Both were delicious. We expected to take home about half of each, but I couldn’t stop eating the Tamalpais… All gone! The drinks come from the bar next door so that means PTB can offer a great range of drinks too! This was our first visit but we’ll be going back to try more of the pizzas.

Great pizza place. The pizzas are the perfect size for two people and are absolutely excellent. The sourdough crust is great. They also have excellent wings and a decent drink selection. The food is very reasonably priced, the drinks are a bit on the pricey side but not too bad. The service was excellent, which is impressive given they just opened. Highly recommended.
