They were busy but Amber did great. Our 7 person party got hot food and the order was 100% accurate. 10 out of 10…..will eat here again. Out biscuits and gravy expert said the B & G were top notch!

Food and service are excellent every time, like stepping back in time, there is a smoking section and if that’s not your jam please don’t go there and complain about it, part of the beauty of the 5 diner experience is watching people who come in several times a week to catch up on the local gossip over coffee and a smoke, get in a hearty meal and a good laugh. They recently cleaned it up with paint and some other work on the place and definitely brought up the feel of the place. (i miss the records and trinkets that used to cover the walls though, not as homey) If you’re in the area and wondering what sounds good for breakfast wonder no longer, personal favorite is the Mexican omelet just because it’s different, but I’ve never been disappointed by quality, quantity, or price.

Awesome food very friendly, courteous server and cook. They had to close early for a personal emergency of the cook but they still took extremely good care of us assuring that we were given the time to eat and never rushed us or made us feel like they needed to leave. Absolutely every aspect of breakfast was well cooked and they have a simple easy to follow menu that is very straightforward and the prices are very affordable. The two of us are very well for under $30 which is getting very hard to do anymore so if your ever visiting the lake of the ozarks check it out and there is no sign on the building but it’s next to a pizza shop so it can’t be missed. We walked in and were immediately forgotten. Then when we finally got someone’s attention 20 minutes later to order we waited 45 minutes for food because we got forgotten again. The food was mediocre at best. Service was horrible.
