The Veal Parmesan is absolutely delicious. Hubby got the Veal Piccata. There was 6 of us. Not one of us had a complaint. Our servers, Scott and Kristie (may have name wrong was in training) were professional, fun, and down to earth. Everything was amazing.

After having a bad experience for lunch from this other restaurant, I decided to try this new pizzeria for dinner. I did have a good experience this time around. My order was completed on time. Although the pieces were huge and I would have preferred smaller cuts of meat, the carni pizza had Abundant high quality meat. Generous serving size of fries packed in quality container to vent stream, Staff friendly and offered utensils and seasoning on pickup. I did enjoy this meal and would order from this restaurant again.

The Gretna location seafood stuff mushrooms taste slightly burnt with lots of salt. The seafood lasagna was not heated thoroughly. It was truly undercooked. The meatball appetizer meat taste spoiled. The overall quality of food is disgusting. However, the service was nice.

First off, the photos (the ones with the checkered tablecloths) are super deceiving, in a good way. We were looking for some Italian and this place popped up. We had our 3 year old daughter with us and when we walked in we were pretty surprised. It looked like a fine dining establishment. We almost walked out, but we we’re already there and a bit hungry and the staff seemed friendly so we stayed. We were sat right away and attended to quickly. A rundown of the nightly specials was given and drink’s delivered promptly. Our waiter was so accommodating to our 3 year old and no one missed a beat even though we seemed a bit out of place at first being there with a kid. By the end of our meal we felt completely comfortable and right at home. Our food was so delicious! We got the ravioli appetizer and it was delightful! The chicken Marsala is top notch and the seafood lasagna was scrumptious, or so my husband said. The waiter informed us that the pasta was all homemade and it definitely tasted so. We left feeling satisfied and happy. It was a great experience. We will definitely be back.

I am editing the review since the pizzeria was changed to a steak house with the same name. The New Orleans location is EXCELLENT consistently however the Gretna location is still a 3 star location. It’s very pricey and the cut of meat doesn’t seem as good unless it’s just not prepared right. We have been several times since it opened and it’s not getting much better. If you want a delicious meal that includes a great Spinalis cut Ribeye go to the New Orleans location. The Italian dishes leave much to be desired also and the portion was very small given the cost. A friend dines there frequently and loves the salads as a meal and the beet salad is excellent there. For old pizzeria: Nope! I was expecting at least a link of Italian Sausage with the Pasta Luciana…not. It was a container of rigatoni that seemed to be tossed in sauce. The mushroom pieces were larger than the same Italian sausage used on the pizza that was thrown in. It was VERY hard to find, but….I think it was spicy Italian and the couple of pieces I had tasted good. It def. wasn’t worth $16. I wasn’t impressed with the small $20 pizza either as the ingredients were not distributed evenly and I found the cheese salty. I will probably try the crab cake special on Monday and possibly the lobster on Wed. to see if the experience is better. Pics of the steak look good too. Only the name was good Italian.

I’m not sure if this place is attempting to be upscale or compete with Olive Garden. The food is good but the service is a black spot. We had a party of five which included my elder in-laws and a toddler. Our waiter’s first attempt at a dead pan joke was regarding a mermaids cup size and his second failed attempt at comedy was making a Michael J Fox joke as he shook powdered Parmesan on our food. We attempted to order a bottle of wine but he would disappear for multiple, long smoke breaks and would reappear engulfing the table with the scent of an ashtray. I guess the staff meeting at arms length of our table shortly after we sat down should have been our warning. We skipped desert and came home and opened a bottle of wine we couldn’t get at our table. Even the best food can be brought down by bad service and this place is treading water. Our second visit was more of the same.
