Don’t let the hole in the wall look fool you! The food was amazing and the staff was really friendly. I ordered the flautas and they were delicious. They’ll bring you red and green sauces. The red it really hot while the green is a lot milder. If you’re in the area and want some good traditional Mexican food, give this place a try. Highly recommend!

Another Triple D (diners, drive ins, and dives) disaster, this is the 27th triple D location I have been too they are all bad. You reviewers that call this authentic have never had authentic before. $5 for 1 super sad taco, the tortilla tasted like it was made last week, the meat was dry with 0 flavor, and it was small with hardly any filling. Next was the $14 burrito, the last place I spent $12 on a burrito. I could barely finish half and it was delicious. This was another sad burrito that began to un fold when I picked it up, very bland, and extremely greasy, I tasted more grease than anything else. Pretty good Mexican food for the area. I feel like there may be some better places though. Tacos were decent depending on which one you got. The complimentary chips and salsa dish is a nice touch when you first get there. Magarita is on point! Very good.

$17 for this California burrito is insane. Fries weren’t even in the burrito. Ordered from the wrong Jessy, but still had hope they would be good, especially seeing the price. Extremely disappointed, won’t go back for sure. Chapstick for size.

Best Mexican food in Virginia. I’m from southern California and I’ve been desperately searching for a good Mexican place and I’m happy to say I found it! They have everything from hand made tortilla tacos to tamales to literally the best pozole I’ve had. Great spot if you want amazing Mexican food!

Service was very disorganized. Asked for chips and salsa 3 times, never came. Asked for water when I sat down, never came. Burrito wasn’t wrapped on both ends w juice pouring out from the sides. Was all soggy, had to eat it with a fork. Was expecting more from an authentic place. Seems like they mean well but do not have good organizational skills

I visited this restaurant with a group of friends and I have to say I will not return. Honestly don’t understand where the reviews come from because the food was subpar. Maybe it was good food when they were a larger restaurant now it appears they have downsized and it’s only about nine tables or so. I ordered three shrimp pineapple tacos with a side of fries and a frozen alcohol drink. The drink was great but the tacos were so burnt that the only thing I could taste was char. He never brought the fries but forgot to take it off my bill. I won’t return and will not suggest the food.

We came to Virginia beach for a vacation and had eaten at other restaurants. The food Taqueria Jessy’s is the best. My daughter said “finally food that has been well seasoned”. If you want a fancy looking restaurant, this is not the place. If you want a well seasoned and tasty food , then this is the place.
