Great food + First class service + Fun conversation all add up to the Right Combination. Getting to be with the Breakfast Crew is always fun; they keep me laughing, and it gets my day off to a great start! On occasion, I’ll come for dinner, and it’s always great to see a goodly number of people I know. If you haven’t tried Gopher’s, you definitely owe it to yourself to come sometime.

Looks like it’s the only restaurant in Screven, GA, so my expectations were low. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good for a buffet, especially the fried chicken. Cole slaw looked like what Chick-fil-A used to have, but it was a little bland. I was told they had hamburgers and other a-la-carte items, but I didn’t see a menu. I hope I just missed it, but I didn’t see any pricing anywhere.

I don’t think you will find a better place to get fresh seafood at great prices. They also have great waitresses, that take great care of you, with out being overwhelming. Friendly, country style people, you will be welcomed, and feel comfortable.

I like seafood but it is so difficult finding a decent place that serves it. I have found such a place. A friend of the family told me he has eaten here several times and never been disappointed. I wasn’t either. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The price was high, as I expected, but I had paid as much a couple weeks ago at another place and left sorely disappointed. Clam strips, fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, crawfish, fish filets, low country boil, grits, baked beans, stewed tomatoes, rice, string beans, peach cobbler, banana pudding, a complete salad bar, tea, lemonade, water, soft drinks, fried chicken, and hush puppies on the buffet. There was more but that’s what I ate! They also serve huge steaks, and a huge metal pan of crab legs is available for a sizeable upcharge. I’ll do that one day. Get there early (5:00). They fill up many times after that. (Shame on me but I sat through two crowd exchanges!) There is a wait staff of at least 3 ladies and they are awesome! It was about a 37 mile ride for me but well worth it.
