We’ve been customers of this business from it’s humble beginnings downtown on Milwaukee St. We couldn’t wait to come back today after moving away from the area. It was great to see the variety of sauces increased. They’ve always been excellent. Disappointed to find out you can no longer order pork and brisket by the pound for two people at the counter when you come in. Pulled pork was great but unfortunately the brisket was on the tougher side. The worst thing was the staff. The owner literally yelled at an older gentleman because we wanted to sit down at a table before the rest of his party arrived. It was not busy. There was no reason to react that way. It is never acceptable to treat customers in that manner. An employee told my husband that “the customer is the most difficult part of this job”. I know the owner will have a few choice words for us after this post…but after this experience we won’t be coming back. If you don’t like people don’t be in food service.

Everything here is SOOOOOOOOOOOO friggin’ good. As a Texas gal, I’ve been riding the struggle bus trying to find good BBQ in Wisco. I was SO HAPPY when we found this place. The brisket is amazing. The chicken is AMAZING. The pulled pork is amazing. The fries are amazing. The potato salad is AMAZING. Even the buttered Texas toast and pickles on the side are so dang good. I can’t get enough of this place. The ONLY complaint I have, and let’s call it a suggestion cause I could never really complain about this place, is that that don’t have sweet tea. 13/10 recommend, and get here early. I didn’t take food photos cause we literally inhale the food every time.

I have wanted to try this place for YEARS… Well last night, we finally did. My only disappointment was that it took us way too long to get here… we had a sliced brisket sandwich, and two of the 2 meat dinners, featuring chopped brisket and ribs one sticky and one dry. Our sides were potato salad, Dixie slaw and fries. We also got the beans, mac and cheese and deep fried bread pudding… Even the toast included with the dinners was great! I’m not kidding when I say that everything we had was absolutely amazing! The counter service was outstanding and the lady was so helpful, we had a lot of questions being new. We got there close to close and our food was ready in no time! The fries were delicious and seasoned to perfection. The mac and cheese was super cheesy and noodles were not mushy at all. The potato Salad was full of flavor. The beans were amazing, sweet but not too sweet and loaded with meat. The bread pudding was served with this buttery caramel sauce, and is nothing short of addicting. The meat itself, was perfectly smoky, juicy, tender and worth every penny. This place is a must try if you’re looking for a welcoming vibe with amazing food!

The food here is amazing and I couldn’t have asked for better BBQ but that doesn’t outweigh the young girl today with the pink hair and black eye in the kitchen picking through the food with bare hands and vaping while making the food. The open kitchen may not be a suitable place for this young lady. The lady that greeted us at the counter was amazing super sweet welcoming and down to earth. The food was good as always. I understand young kids do silly stuff but vaping over the food in a closed restaurant and using bare hands to pick through food and eat it right where paying customers can see is beyond against health code but also poor etiquette at customer service.

Great place to go for BBQ, coming all the way from Stevens Point. I have gotten the pulled pork nachos, brisket sandwich, brisket dinner, and a $4 beer since I’ve e first gone here. Staff is about as nice as necessary. Great atmosphere, always busy.

We stopped for lunch and tried the smoked turkey and pulled pork. This was some tender, tasty and very flavorful BBQ! With a collection of many different BBQ Sauces available, you will certainly find a few to compliment your meal. This was a great find and will be back.
