Found this place on Google maps and thought I’d give it a try with my best friend who was visiting and this place did not disappoint. They have a beach theme but it gives off a real local atmosphere and is right by the university. The owner was very nice and gave us recommendations since we had never been. They offer a variety or Hawaiian and Filipino food staples at very affordable prices and you get a lot for what you pay. Seating is limited due to the size of the restaurant but definitely a great food option. I had the rebel combo and highly recommend. The flavors were delicious and out shined some of the other places I’ve ordered Hawaiian food from. Don’t sleep on them and give them a go, you won’t regret it.

I shared the Teri Beef plate and garlic chicken plate with my sister and they were both amazing. The Mac salad was so tasty. Everything was nice and hot and fresh. They give you a ton of food too, which is great. I ate so much and still had leftovers. My wife had the Kalua Pork and it was so juicy and flavorful as well. Everything was wonderful. The staff was so nice too. You can tell it’s a family environment and they care a lot about the restaurant. It was awesome!!

Hands down the best food I’ve eaten in Vegas. The owners are super friendly and coincidentally when we ate at Top of the World we discovered that the owner of Lefty J’s used to be a chef there per our waiter. When I tell you this place is phenomenal take my word to the bank. We chose off of the Hawaiian menu and were not disappointed. Just go eat here and order whatever you like. Everything was so dag on good. I had the garlic encrusted chicken and almost bit my fingers off. The hubby had the Lefty J’s care and he was impressed. The female owner recommended it and I’m so glad that she did. I will post the pics below but they honestly don’t do the food any justice. Trust me, try this place. If we lived in Vegas we would def be regulars.

Absolutely flavorful! The island flavor has found its way to Las Vegas and does not disappoint. Chef Lefty is an amazing chef & his wife has great hospitality at the F.O.H. and makes everyone feel like family. You can taste his food and feel like it’s another beautiful family dinner. Mochiko Chicken is delicious! My favorite is the crunchiness, the tenderness of the chicken , and that juicy flavor. BOOM! They serve it with moist rice w/ sesame seeds, tasteful macaroni salad, and cabbage. The Kalbi is delicious along with their grilled chicken. Whatever you order will not let you down! I’ve been to Vegas twice and have always struggled find a restaurant with good food, no gimmicks and quality service. Lefty-J’s blew me away in all of those areas. The food that I had (Robust Garlic Chicken) was insanely delicious, the staff was SO friendly and the overall vibe of the restaurant would feel like home to anyone. This is going down as the only place I would recommend to anyone visiting Vegas.

The owner was the man to greet me. He was very friendly and helpful. He suggested their popular dishes and made comfortable small talk which lead to a fun conversation. The food came out faster than expected and quoted. It was very presentable and tasted even better! I ordered the garlic chicken. The taste is full and hit all the ranges with a perfect balance of savory with a hint of ginger that comes through mid bite. Even the rice was delicious and topped with seaweed and sesame seeds. The cabbage under the chicken is a nice touch. I decided to get a drink during my meal. The owner’s wife suggested her favorite, Pineapple Orange juice and it was very refreshing. I didn’t eat all day and still took over half my food home! I have definitely found my authentic Hawaiian food spot! I will be returning. Thank you for the wonderful food and experience! Happy to stumble into this joint. Very yummy and juicy food selection. The chicken is so tasty amd fried to perfection. The pansit was also on point. Bonus that they have Hawaiian Sun drinks from Hawaii. Never seen it anywhere else. The sound owners are so kind as well.
