Looking for a steak and classic country – Mad Mary’s Steakhouse & Saloon is where you need to go when in Pierre South Dakota. The steak was cooked to perfection. Add a bottle of Bud to your order and you will be fixed for the night.

Quick, friendly service. When you walk in, you already know your steak will never be overcooked here. Perfect medium rare. Bread was warm and very soft. Shrimp were cooked perfectly and the bourbon sauce added the perfect amount of sweetness to both the shrimp and steak while still allowing the flavor of both to be dominant (Wild Bill’s NY Strip). The tin taters are a tasty, unique side that very much remind me of scalloped potatoes. Inside is a bit smokey from the grill, but fits with the western atmosphere.

I loved the dim lit atmosphere with the older country western lightly playing in the background. Came in past 8 and they close at 9 so I ordered a simple burger and fries. The bartender (Shanna maybe?) was fast and friendly and the burger was one of the juiciest burgers I have had from a restaurant in a while.

If your looking for the absolute best steak in the Dakota Plains, look no further than Mad Marys!!! Wow! Great service, food was prepared quick even with a packed house. Steak was incredible. Aged Midwest beef. Only the best!!

The atmosphere and food were amazing, and the staff was super friendly. The old country music playing in the “saloon” atmosphere was just the icing on the cake. It was a true place of Americana, and I can’t wait to go back!

I was a little dissappointed in this place. The price of the steaks were competitive to larger city steak houses yet lacked quality on sides. The ribeye was good and the filet mignon was okay. The filet had bacon wrapped around it and no meniton on the menu (we don’t eat pork). Our steaks were cooked perfectly. The salad was a bland packaged iceberg Walmart bag salad ( very disappointed). The broccoli was frozen broccoli, not fresh. The steak fries were delicious as well as the ice tea. I had a house cabernet and it was very nice. This place has potential if they would offer fresh salads and fresh vegetable sides like broccoli or a medley, asparagus, fresh green beans, etc along with something unique like fried onions on the salad or fresh tomatoes and fresh lettuces and a balsamic vinaigrette.
