Cool Runnin’s has been in New Brunswick for quite a long time. This restaurant has a great menu of Jamaican food and even sells cocoa bread. the curry goat is one of the dishes I really enjoy. It is not super spicy. The jerk chicken here is always on point and it tends to be a tad spicy. Although, I love spicy food so it doesn’t bother me. The peas and rice are super flavorful and the Jamaican patties are great for breakfast or dinner. This place is truly a hole in the wall so don’t expect modern comforts. You just order your food and go. All of the stars are really for the food and service, not necessarily the atmosphere as it is a tiny little restaurant. Given the size there is no accessible bathroom facilities. Parking is available on the street with a few spots for disability parking. If you want faster service call ahead.

This place is a freaking rip off , I received 3 oxtails and rice/peas for 18$. Please look at your bowls before leaving the store before they rip you off too. Look at the photo attached … does that look like 18$ worth of “oxtails” more like rice and peas platter ! I had to put my food in a big bowl to make sure I wasn’t going crazy .

Greatness is sometimes in food if it comes out with love. Love every bit of this restaurant it’s low key but needs a better stage presence because the food deserves to be in that spotlight! Service was awesome hot fresh not a long wait. Flavors are superb and I would recommend anyone to eat here. Jamaica canalice on my palate!

I came in the shop and stood their for 3 to 4 min with no one to take my order. I finally said HELLO, very loudly and a women appeared from behind the counter that was sitting their the whole time, smh. Should had been the 1st red flag, but I proceeded to order a large Oxtail, and small Curry goat. I asked her how many pieces of Oxtail do you get with the large, she started with this science lesson talking about the physical structure of an Oxtail and that it depends on which part you get. Then the food came from the back already bagged. I asked to see the meals. I swear to you there was 2 medium size Oxtail and like 4 tiny pieces of bone. The Curry goat was the same, no beat all rice. First and last time. I read the reviews before going in and they definitely lived down to expectations.

place was so good! tried this for my first time on a friday night. i ordered a small curry goat with rice and peas, plaintain and cabbage. ordered a spicy beef patty as well on the side. they ran out of food but i got the last pattie’s so i was happy would definitely recommend. food was still hot and fresh after like 30 mins still!
