When I think of pasties this is the type of pasty I imagine. The dough was soft and the filling was flavourful and the gravy made it feel like a home cooked meal. I had the beef filled pasty and my girlfriend had the veggie pasty. Both were delicious, you have the option of getting Cole slaw on the side as well as gravy and sour cream to go with your pasty. They also had a few different pies, some cookies and cinnamon sugar pastries. I see why people come from all over the world to try these. I’m gonna get the food a 5 star in comparison to other pasties I’ve had in the past. Service was good and fast, the cashier was friendly and welcoming .

I remembered Mr. Foisie’s from my childhood and I was excited to get to take my own kids here! Come early, though – by 6pm they were sold out (a testament to their popularity!). The pasties were delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. We will be back next time we’re in town!

Great little shop selling delicious pasties, which is a bit like putting stew in a pie and folding it up. Definitely recommend, even the kids liked it. Had the cherry rhubarb blueberry pie as well and it was tasty. The cookies were a big hit with the kids and got a thousand thumbs up.

Needed a retreat from my hotel room. Got there right when the pasties almost sold out. They were kind enough to let us eat at a table even though they were officially closed. So kind of them! Put a purple flag of our town in their maps. It had an inset so it was easy. Bathroom has a “dude abides” feel. I wish I would have gotten there earlier to see what other items they have, but it was a working vacation weekend so we didn’t get out until 5:30pm and glad we did since they sold out minutes later. Place was clean and friendly. Pasties were excellent with or without gravy. The beef ones are potato heavy, but that didn’t bother me. The chicken seemed more balanced. I was asked if I wanted gravy, were others not?

Only thing I can say is, there were no frozen pasties so we could bring them back to TN. We bought cold ones and froze them. The pasties are amazing. We always get some to take home when we are in the area on vacation.

I literally love coming here. I come like once every year but every time I do it’s an amazing experience. the pastries (by pastries I don’t mean pasties just to clarify) are SO FREAKING GOOD. I got a cinnamon twist and it felt like I had a bomb of sugar, frosting, and cinnamon explode in my mouth. it was legitimately the best experience my tongue has ever had.
