I got the bolognese and it was seriously the best I’ve had. I had to ask for a piece of bread because I felt like it needed it. I forgot the name of this place but found it after some searching because I plan on going back this weekend. We were seated in the bar so I can’t really comment about the atmosphere but I’m not a drinker and I don’t frequent bars so that would prob be the only downside. The host (possibly owner or manager) was very friendly and attentive. I love the fish tank also.

I’ve been here with my family 3 or 4 times now and the food and service is always top notch. This evening I had the scallops with risotto. The scallops were cooked to perfection. Great sear but not overcooked at all. The risotto was made with corn, chorizo and avocado which gave it a great balance of sweet, smokey and creamy. Every dish I have had here is well balanced and thought out. The fennel sausage pizza is amazing. Props to the chef on this menu.

Came in on a Friday night and there were plenty of seatings since they have 2 floors. This is your average bar, dive bar, very chill and casual. They have a few tv screens and a big projector so you can watch the game on the 2nd floor or downstairs at the bar. We got the mezze plate (vegetarian friendly), nachos (these were delicious), lobster roll (very big pieces and generous) but wouldn’t say this is the best on the cape but still very good. The shrimp risotto was very flavorful. The J-Mac pizza was different and really tasted like a deconstructed big Mac. Everything overall was good and we would be back next time we’re in the area.

Best dinner we had on the Cape. Kids (3 and 7) devoured the pizza. Steak and Cheese was good. My wife enjoyed her steak tips. Nice outdoor dining area. Only issue was I ordered a romaine salad and was brought a garden salad-brought it to the servers attention and he told me the house salad was the Romaine salad-checked the bill and it said “house salad.” Not a huge deal, but wish he just made it right.

THE LOBSTER ROLL IS THE BEST KEPT SECRET AND VALUE ON CAPE COD!! After an enormous rain storm (monsoon!) we couldn’t get into any other restaurants due to up to your knee puddles. The Portside was high and dry….thankfully. Everyone was happy with the service and especially the food. Served warm and tasty. So you’re not going to go there for the ambiance. But it filled up steadily for lunch and the large tv’s would be great on game day.

Visited Portside Tavern for a quick outdoor dinner with family and doggo – patio wasn’t crowded and our server, Carlo, was very friendly and attentive (the moment we arrived Carlo brought over water for doggo!) – both the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Fennel Sausage Pizzas were a HIT – ordered them well done (please, no soggy thick crusts!) and were pleasantly surprised how perfectly tasty both pizzas were. Their menu is seasonal and alas, my favorite salad with apples, kale & such had rotated off but l saw many other items to try! Only slight drawback was the many bees on the patio but you can’t escape Mother Nature – and plan to park across the street as their own spaces are very limited – give Portside a try – my very favorite local radio station, Frank FM will broadcast from the upper deck from time to time and I will most definitely try to join in on that fun event soon…

Chose Portside Tavern due to excellent reviews. Our experience was the same. The food was incredibly great!!! The four of us ordered different dishes and each was extremely pleased with their order. The chicken pizza was overloaded with chicken. The portion of salmon added to a salad was huge. I highly recommend the veggie wrap with the side salad. Would return in an instant.
